Through my fog, I listened to M's one-sided conversation..

"Yes, she will be fine in a couple hours .... He won't be coming til midnight or so. Um yeah ...    I'll take care of everything. I will tell her all about us .... Yes, yes come over .........  J, you are fine. Rest. Do you want something to drink?"

Still on the phone, she walked to the kitchen and went straight to the cabinet for my fav cup. Wow, how did she know? .....

I then hear her voice in my head .....

She handed me the water and sat down.
