Chapter 21

LAUREN'S POV

The sound of birds chirping early in the morning woke me from my deep slumber where my muscles ached from the previous night's activities. I couldn't help but wake up with a smile on my face looking back on what transpired between Y/N and I last night because all I could say was that it was simply wonderful. It was such an ironic scene to wake up to considering all that we did the night before, contrasting to the innocent nature transpiring outside the window. I had been laying on my stomach facing the window so as soon as I turned around, I was met with Y/N's sleeping form as she laid on her back. One of her arms rested beneath her head and the pillow while her mouth hung wide open with small snores escaping her lips. The same lips that were on me the night before in places only she could reach and see. A blush subconsciously made its way onto my face at the thought but I was more concerned with the beautiful woman who was sleeping next to me. I was so grateful that she was out of the damned hospital so that I could hold her properly.

I pushed myself up the bed further so that I could wrap my arm around Y/N's stomach and rest my head on her shoulder. The closer I got to her neck, the more I could smell the sweat that tinged her skin from our activities last night, and I was sure that I smelt the same exact way since neither of us had showered. I could still feel some spots on the bed and on my own body where there was some dried cum from the both of us. I scrunched my face up but I had to prevent a giggle from escaping my lips although the movement seemed to stir Y/N from her sleep. I watched as the taller girl took the hand that was resting behind her head and used it to rub at her tired eyes with a small groan. Her head lolled around on top of the pillow for a couple of seconds before her eyes fluttered open, looking for the source that had woken her up from her slumber. I cheekily smiled as I hid my face against her shoulder but eventually a raspy chuckle left the taller girl's lips.

"Why are you awake so early? I'm still sleepy." Y/N complained while she turned herself over onto her stomach so that I was resting against her back now. I finally let my giggle surface at her childish attitude but I knew I didn't need to verbally respond to her complaining. Even though she was tired, Y/N wouldn't be able to fall asleep while I was here because I wouldn't allow her to. I began placing kisses along the expanse of her spine, my eyes surveying the tattoos that lined the skin. "That tickles." Y/N let out a breathy chuckle but she didn't move out from underneath me. I made my way up her back until I reached the back of her neck where I playfully bit down on the skin, eliciting a groan but also a quick movement that left me on the other side of the bed. "Ouch!" Y/N glared at me as she covered the back of her neck with her hand. When she saw me trying to keep my laughing to myself, she rolled her eyes and pushed herself out of bed to go into the bathroom, still stark naked.

I rolled on my back to watch her figure disappear inside the bathroom but this time I wasn't able to stop myself from laughing. "You have such a cute butt." I added to irritate the taller girl even more.  I didn't have to see her to know that she was most likely rolling her eyes again. The sound of the shower turning on could be heard throughout the room and I knew I needed to join my girlfriend to wash all of the stink off of my body. I stood up, feeling the soreness of my thighs take over along with other useless muscles that I didn't even know would be affected by having sex. I stretched as much as I could as I made my way into the bathroom where Y/N was already stepping into the stream of hot water. I could feel the heat radiating from the water the closer I got to the actual shower before I stepped inside, standing behind my girlfriend. I watched as Y/N rolled her neck back and forth while the water ran down her neck and chest.

I could see the reddened mark where I had bitten her but it was clear that it wouldn't bruise over. I stepped forward to lean myself against my girlfriend where Y/N pushed back into me. "I'm just messing with you." I muttered between us which earned myself a small snort and a chuckle from the taller girl. Y/N turned around in my arms where the water was now hitting her back before falling down to the drain. I rose my eyebrow which Y/N copied, reminding me of how we would interact with one another when we were back in high school. The thought sent my heart into a flutter mess where it sat inside of my ribcage. Also just being here with Y/N at such a close proximity wasn't helping my racing heart very much. Y/N slung her arms over my shoulders where she leaned all of her weight against me which forced me to let out a groan as I tried to hold her up. "Why are you so heavy?" I giggled when Y/N finally gave some mercy on me and stood up straight again.
