Y/N'S POV

Flashing lights and muffled yelling was all my senses could pick up. The team was rounded up to the middle of the court, the other team long gone by now. We were given our championship shirts and hats, and now we were trying to pose for many sports reporters. Subconsciously I knew I was smiling for the pictures, but I wasn't all here. I had no idea what was going on with me although I couldn't have been happier that we were now champions. After what could have easily been a million pictures, we were spread out to do some more interviews. I was strung back around, getting the same question over and over again. "How does it feel to have three trophies? How does it feel to be named Rookie of the Year, MVP, and a Champion? How does it feel to take home three titles?" I hated being in the same interview every time, but I was able to slither my way off of the court so I could follow most of the girls back to the locker room.

The classic mirage of champagne bottles littered the locker room, all unopened since not everyone was back. I just wanted to drink a whole bottle myself right now. I needed it. I took off my jersey, leaving my championship shirt on as I stood in front of my locker. I took off my shoes as well, not wanting them to get ruined. The last of our players stumbled in giggling, followed by James who was obviously trying to hide his smile. He was trying to seem like he wasn't excited but I saw right through him. "Alright, ladies settle down, settle down." The team quieted down but were all pretty much jumping in their spots. "You did great out there, I couldn't be happier to have coached you all. Now let's celebrate!" Everyone cheered again and you could hear the popping of the champagne bottles going off.

Not a second after that I felt the cold liquid flow down my back, my teammates chanting my name. For what seemed like the first time tonight, I smiled and laughed and cheered with my team. The fizzy drink was shooting out in every direction and I didn't think I would be having this much fun. I drank more than I would admit, but I was feeling good. After a while of celebrating and taking pictures with the trophy we were all calming down and ready to leave. Of course, I took lots of selfies and pictures of the three trophies I had won, because duh. James had celebrated a bit but he was one of the first to leave, wanting us to enjoy this moment with each other. We took a couple more pictures for the media, but now I was back in front of my locker, peeling off my soaked shirt so I could take a quick shower. "Y/N! We're going to celebrate at the club after this. Did you want to join?" Chelsea, one of the girls, asked.

I shook my head with a sympathetic look on my face. "Sorry girls, I totally would but my girlfriend is here tonight and I don't get to see her much..." I trailed off at the end, wanting to let them down easily. I heard a chorus of 'aww's before they all started talking over one another. I chuckled to myself as I got the overall gist of what they were all saying. "Thanks, guys, we should definitely set something up this next weekend though. Then we can go all out." I smirked as they all cheered. I quickly got into the shower and finished washing myself, making sure I didn't smell like champagne as I dressed myself up. I bid my goodbye as I slung my bag over my shoulder. I had to pack most of my belongings since we wouldn't be back at the stadium in a while, and I also grabbed the two trophies I got to keep.
