This marks three months of writing this book. That's a 1/4 of a year :0 like what am I doing with my life?

A while back I bought Final Fantasy XIII preowned. Just opened the box to find the newest game Lightning Returns in the FFXIII box instead.

I.e. got the new game for like £8. BEST MISTAKE EVER. #excusemyfangirling

Special mention to frozen purple flowers because she immediately came up with the setting, and she's amazing.

Lupa's POV

Sakuya and Kanon had mysteriously dissapeared when I went to breakfast, meaning I couldn't take revenge. Yet.

After all, Kanon still owed me a favour...

"What a drag." Soma grumbled. We were waiting for Aria to arrive for a mission.

"Agreed." I sat by the wall, knees tucked up under my chin. I couldn't be bothered with life today. "Why is everyone so unaware of time?"

"Says the girl who turned up to a mission three hours early." I stuck my tongue out at him.

"Not my fault."

"Then whose fault was it?" Ari scoffed.

I turned on the latecomer. "Where have you been? We couldn't start the mission without you!"

"I was...distracted." her eyes wandered, showing she was clearly lying.

"Shut up. We're leaving." Soma stomped out of the room, probably getting a headache from our argument. I sure was.

Wheat as tall as I was swayed in the breeze, waving beyond the bounds of the muddy field. Weeds tangled around the greatly overgrown giant crops, green towers scraping their golden heads.

A maze of plants blocked our route. I walked to the base of a dandelion, and followed its stem with my eyes, craning my neck to see the puffy white fluff sitting at the head of the plant.

"Woah!" I squeaked as I over balanced, stumbling backwards. The ground rose up to meet me, slamming into my back. "Ow."

I lay there a moment, unable to find enough botherdness to stand. "Egit." Soma sighed, offering a hand. "I could do this alone, you know."

"Pfft. You know, not relying on your teammates is a bad habit. So get over it." I lectured him, earning me a scowl.

Ari sniggered. "Want some ice for that burn?" We high fived.

Ganging up on Soma was just the best.

"You just got ripped and officially owned." I added, and Ari gave a smug nod.

"You're the one who fell over." ...his comebacks could do with some work.

"I'll give him some lessons." Ari sighed, also disappointed at Soma's poor arguing skills.

We made our way through the maze, eyes warily alert. Don't let your guard down. Jack's voice warned me in my head.

I felt his fur brush my side as we walked side by side through the heavenly gardens maze, he was teaching me how to open portals.

He was chiding me as usual, in a teacherly way, while I tried to use my dark powers. We could only practice in the maze, where the other angels couldn't see.

After the session, he changed back from tracher mode to friend. He allowed me to climb onto his back, and I laughed as he ran out of the maze, the world passing in a blur.
