"Wait-" I stop them before they step inside, "this is your apartment?"

The boys look suspiciously at me before Jack replies, "Yeah, it's my family's."

Suddenly confronting the owner doesn't seem like such a good idea. I think about turning around and running back to Caroline, but I have been dealing with these loud ass neighbors for a week. I'm over it.

"I just moved into the apartment below you, and you have to be the loudest people I have ever met. I can't even watch one episode of a show or take a nap in peace!" I step closer, and scrunch my face in confusion. "If y'all are out here, then who is in there making all of that noise?"

They look awkwardly at me, "Um some of my friends and maybe our siblings are in there now, but I'm sorry for all of the noise we have been making."

I relax my shoulders. "It's okay, just please try to keep the yelling and crashing to a minimum."

The boys obediently nod and head into the apartment. "Nice to meet you!" Zach calls over his shoulder.

"Call me!" Jack yells before the door shuts. I shake my head with a small smile.

I walk back to my apartment and Caroline is now sitting in the living room flipping through tv channels.

"Hey how did it go?" She calls from the couch.

"They said they'll try to keep it down, but the weirdest thing happened in the elevator," I trailed off joining her in the couch.

"Tell me everything."

So I did, and when I am done we are both laughing so loud and Caroline is now on the floor with tears in her eyes.

"TENNESSEE?!" She yells and slaps the couch.

I just nod frantically and laugh, I can't even get the words out.

"'Uh no I'm form Georgia'," she mocks, "What the hell was that El?"

I slide off the couch next to her on the floor, "I don't know! I was caught off guard!"

We laugh until Caroline pops up and goes to the kitchen. I swear that girl is always hungry. I bet she's making spaghettios.

I hop on the kitchen counter and sure enough- she's making spaghettios. I shake my head.

"I'm going home to visit my family for a week or so pretty soon," she tells me.

"Oh, when?" We just moved into the new apartment and I'm not excited to stay here by myself. Maybe I'll take a trip when she's gone.

She shrugs, "Pretty soon I think, my parents are booking my flight so who knows."

"Fun, I may get out of the house that week too so I don't stay alone," I trail off.

We stay in the kitchen talking until I decide to go finish my episode of Grey's.

I press play and just like magic, I hear them banging around in the room above me. I throw my body on my bed in exasperation. What kind of magical deity is messing with me? I just suck it up and turn on the subtitles. I cuddle up in my bed and the crashing continues. What the hell are they doing up there?

Caroline comes in my room and points at the ceiling with a confused look on her face, "Are they okay???"

I shake my head she hops on the bed with me.

Then a foot smashes through my ceiling.

Yes, you read that right. A whole foot steps through my ceiling.

This is it. I'm going to have to move.

Ceiling dust sprinkles around the room, and Caroline and I scream. I pop off of the bed and look at the hole now in my ceiling. "You have got to be kidding me."

Five boys rush down the fire escape and up to my window. I open it and they tumble in. I stand there with my arms crossed, and Caroline just has her mouth gaping open.

Jack holds his hands up, "I swear I will fix it!"

"How does that even happen?!" I ask. The boys confuse me so much.

They look around at each other guiltily, and then they all point at Zach. "He did it!"

"Hey!" he yells and pushes the other guys. He turns to me and says, "I am so sorry! Someone said the floor is lava and I hopped on a spinning chair, but then I fell off, and well," he gestures to the hole, "foot through the floor."

He visibly cringes as he finishes his story. I put my face in my hand. This is going to be an interesting summer.
