Daniel held the door to my favorite restaurant and followed close behind.

Bugatti Ristorante used to be Jess' and my place to go every time something worth celebrating came up.

"Seavey for two." Daniel told the hostess, who immediately recognized who he was. She took a few seconds to come to the realization before taking us to our table.

"Starstruck?" I ask her and all she could do was nod her head up and down.

We both said our thank you and she was off to her station in the front.

"So Kelsi." Daniel put the menu aside and put both his elbows on the table, which were balancing his head. "How are you?"

"It's okay. College is stressing me out." I say, trying to not stare at the most adorable man in front of me.

"Then why do it?" He looked genuinely confused for me. "Just do music, like me." Now he had on his adorable smile, revealing his small gap.

"I want to go into psychology and to do that, I kind of need to go to college." Psychology has been on my mind ever since my freshman year of high school and now, it's kind of my passion.

We both ordered our food before I finished my story about when me and my friends went to New York.

"Yeah so me and Amy got lost going on the subway and had to-"

"I have a question for you." Daniel asked, interrupting my story.

I saw the look of nervousness in his face, a look that I know all too well. "Sure."

Daniel sat up in his chair, showing that what he was about to ask would be very serious. "So we've been talking for a little over a month and that has been one of the best months in my life." He took a deep breathe and then continued. "I just wanna say that you are such an adventurous, beautiful and amazing girl and I wanted to ask you something extremely serious."

"Daniel. You're starting to worry me." He was stalling for whatever he wanted to ask.

Would it be good? Bad? I can't deal with heartbreak again.

"Will you be my girlfriend?" He blurts out. A few people turned around, but went back to their food.

I smile at him and reply with my answer. "Of course." With that, Daniel relaxed his body and went back to his original position, head in his hands with his elbows on the table.

The rest of the night consisted of me talking about my childhood stories and Daniel staring back at me like I was the most interesting thing to look at.

When the check came, I was going through the motions to grab it, but Daniel beat me to it. I immediately saw the surprise in his face and with that, I snatched it out of his hands and saw the bill. Over seventy dollars not including dessert.

When I looked up, I saw Daniel already pulling out his card. "Daniel, you can't pay for this all by yourself. Let me split it." I say, knowing that seventy was way too high.

"Nope. You are my girlfriend now and chivalry is not dead." He took the bill from my hands and placed his card inside.

I got out of my seat and moved next to him and gave him a small peck on the cheek. His cheeks automatically start turning pink.

I moved back to my seat and gave him an innocent smile.

so many of the narration was accidentally done in first person and i had to go back and fix it but for this one, i decided to just go with it . also , i put the pov before the insta post cause that would've mad more sense but idk if i'going to do that again or not
