Daniel:
i'm so excited to finally talk
to you in person

Kelsi:
you realize we've never even
facetimed before ?

Kelsi:
we only call and text

Daniel:
i'm sorry about that :(

Daniel:
we've been so busy with our
shows , i barely get any privacy in
this bus

Kelsi:
it's ok .

Daniel:
corbyn , jonah , zach , and jack
are all about to leave the bus to get food ,
do you wanna facetime then ?

Kelsi:
ofc .

Kelsi patiently waited for her phone to ring and Daniel's face to pop up on her bright screen. As she always is, she started overthinking everything that has happened between them in the past week and a half.

While she went into a spiral of black thoughts, her phone rang, just as she imagined. Daniel.

Without another second to waste, she pressed the green button and the person plastered on her screen wasn't who she expected. It was Jonah Marais.

"Kelsi was it?" He has Daniel's phone propped up something so Kelsi was able to see his torso and up.

"Yes?" He looked suspicious of her and for some reason that kind of scared her.

"Daniel is trapped in the bathroom right now. I did that because I want to have a talk with you." His arms were now crossed across his chest and sitting on a couch with his legs over the other.

"What would you like to talk about?" Kelsi asked, knowing the answer already. He's the only thing they have in common.

"Daniel. If you break that precious boy's heart, we will personally take offense. We are a family here and we take care of each other."

"I know that. Daniel loves all of you guys more than anything in the world. Plus, I would never hurt him." And she did know that by how he talks about them.

From the bathroom, Jonah and Kelsi could hear Daniel screaming. "Jonah! You better let me out of this bathroom." Taking a small pause to collect his thoughts, he started yelling again. "You better not be talking to Kelsi!"

"Don't worry Daniel. Kelsi and I were just having a nice little chat."

"Jonah! Let me out of here!" Daniel continued to scream through the door of the bathroom. "I have been waiting weeks to call her!"

Right when he said that, Kelsi's cheeks start turning a bright pink.

"Fine." Jonah got up from his seat and walked out of her sight, probably to go let Daniel out of his confined cage.

After hearing a few screams of pain, Daniel walk to where Kelsi could see him and he has the biggest smile plastered across his face. This would be the first time they were actually talking face to face.

Since this was all new to Kelsi, she wasn't sure how she should be acting. Happy to finally be able to talk to him? Sad that they couldn't share a long awaited hug? Definitely excited to be able to see his adorable face.

"Hi Kelsi." His big smile turned to a sheepish one. He was definitely feeling shy as was Kelsi.

"Hi Daniel." Kelsi mirrored his look knowing she didn't want to scare him away by being too excited.

Out of Kelsi's view, Corbyn, Jonah, Jack and Zach were smiling at the awkward kids, as best friends would do. Daniel looked to his friends and got a simultaneous talk-to-her look.

Hours and hours of talking, Kelsi and Daniel we're still in deep conversations. They were hitting very deep subjects that he never talked about, even to his best friends.

Kelsi checked the time, wanting to see if she needed to start getting ready for bed soon, but instead saw that it was already 1:28 am.

"Daniel." Kelsi said, cutting him off from his story about his childhood. "We've been talking for hours! I have a photoshoot with my friends tomorrow."

Daniel only replied with a fake pouting face, trying to stall her and keep her on for as long as possible. "Okay fine."

Kelsi gave him a sympathy smile, but before signing off, sent him a small 'goodnight'.

The response Daniel gave her want what she quite expected.

"Goodnight, Kelsi." To the side, Jonah had walked through the doorway and the second right before Kelsi ended the call, Daniel said something. "She's the most beautiful girl ever and I think I'm in love."

She hadn't heard exactly what he had said until the call ended.

"He was probably joking." Kelsi said, trying to rationalize. "It was probably sarcasm."

Even though she convinced herself that it was nothing, in the back of her mind, she wanted it to be something more and that kept her up later than she wanted.

I think I'm in love.
