( daniel's pov )

I was in total shock when Kelsi brought up the idea of breaking up. Never did I guess that she's actually go through with it.

It's only been a day since the news and all I could do was stay locked up in my room, looking at all our pictures from the best days of my life.

All I could think about was the moment when Kelsi actually did the deed.

"Daniel?" Kelsi looked nervous as she twiddled her fingers in her lap. "You're going to hate me for this."

I placed my hands over hers, causing her to stop. "It can't be that bad."

The look on her face wasn't the happiest. It was sadness. "We have to." She knew that I knew what she meant, but she still clarified. "We have to break up."

"Kelsi." She pulls her hands away from mine and as I look into her eyes, tears. They collect, giving a glass like look. Mine probably looked the same. Not probably. Definitely looked the same as hers now.

It wasn't under discussion. She had made her final decisions about it. The break up was actually happening. This girl, the light of my life, brought so much pain into my life yet so much love.

I look over the comments of the posts of both of our accounts and analyze the negative comments.

I didn't know that it was this bad. Seeing these comments, telling her that she wasn't worth my time and that she doesn't deserve me. All untrue, but I could see why breaking up with me was what she thought was best.

Knowing already, I will never get over my feelings for her anytime soon.

My friends have already friend to get her to go out and hang out with other people, even just our families. Anna, Sydnie and Jack have all tried in her own ways to help me, but none of them have achieved their goal.

"Daniel?" I heard my mom's voice though the crack at the bottom of the door. "Can I come in."

I let about a groan and my mom took that as a yes and came in, sitting next to me.

"Daniel, honey. I know you won't believe me, but you fall in love more than once. Kelsi was just one girl."

"She wasn't just just one girl, Mom, she made me the happiest guy in the world. Her laugh and her smile and those beautiful eyes. God those eyes." Even thinking about her, I couldn't stop.

Not saying anything, my mom pulled me into an embrace. We kept that position for a couple of seconds before Anna barged through the doors.

Anna, my dear loving sister, finally came back from her trip to New York for her fashion things. For which I will never understand.

"Daniel. Get up. We're going to go out and you are going to get over Kelsi." It wasn't a question. It was a command. She completely ignored the fact that I was now crying. Instead, she picked up one of my beanies, placed it in my head, and took my arm, leading me to the car outside where all my friends were waiting.

"This isn't going to work, guys. Sorry to tell you." I try to walk back into the house and as I did, Anna jerked me back to the car and shoved me into the car.

"Sorry for being harsh, bro, but I hate to see you like this." Anna got into the passenger seat as Jonah turned the key into the engine.

"We get it, Kelsi was great, but you can't keep moping around. I bet you Maya and the girls are doing the same to KJ right now." Zach put his hand on my shoulder before I hear a wince coming from his direction.

I look back at the boy in the back and then to my sister again. "Where are we even going?"

"It's a surprise." I could hear the smile growing on Anna's lips and it kind of scared me. She turned to Jonah and screamed. "Step on it Jo!"
