Kendall -a few days later-
My mom, josie and I are going to eat at Elizabeth's house today. It's lunch instead of dinner. One because I have to take josie to this little pottery place I'd promise I'd take her to. And two because my mom is leaving out of town for a few days and my dad is going with her. They're leaving right after the lunch.
"How are you feeling?" My mom asks, walking into my room. I look at her.
"Good." I give her a small smile. She nods and then walks out. I continue to do my makeup. once i'm done, i get up and walk to my closet. i grab a pair of my boots and slip those on and then grab my jacket as well. i slip that on, grab my phone and then walk downstairs.
"you and josie are going in one car so we can just leave from elizabeth's." my mom says. i nod.
"you can head over there now if you want." my mom says. i nod again. josie gets off the couch and grabs her booster seat and then walks to the door. I grab my keys and open the front door, letting her walk out. I then help her strap the seat in and make sure she's buckled. I get in the front and start the car and then head to the house.
I park outside of the house and get out, helping josie out. She runs to the front door and knocks. I grab my phone and wallet and then walk to the door as well. As I reach the door, elizabeth opens it.
"Hey guys." She smiles and lets josie run in. She then gives me a side hug.
"How's the baby?" She asks, setting her hand on my belly.
"She's good." I say with a smile. She gives me another hug and then let's me in. Josie is already at the coffee table with Sky, playing with slime.
"Kendall?" I hear someone asks. I look at the stairs and see Tez.
"Hey." I say with a smile. He walks to me and gives me a hug as best as he can.
"Congratulations." He says.
"Thank you." I say with a small laugh.
"Hayes and them are out back. Tez will you take her out there with you?" Elizabeth asks. He nods
"Are you okay to walk a little bit?" He asks. I nod. I stuff my phone in my back pocket and then follow tez out.
"Hayes was telling me about the whole situation." Tez says. I nod
"Yea. I sound like a bitch." I say. He laughs
"Hardly. You sound scared." He says.
"I was. Still am." I say. He nods.
"What's her name?" He asks
"Gia Lee Grier." I say.
"He's excited, Kendall. Like more then you know." He says. I smile
"I sure hope so." He helps me over a few logs.
"He is. Trust me." He says. I can hear the bikes from here. I remember when hayes tried to teach me how to ride. I fell off and skinned my whole leg. It was not fun.
"Kendalllll." I hear will say. I smile and walk to him. He gives me a hug.
"How's my niece?" He asks.
"She's doing good." I say, rubbing my belly.
"I still can't believe hayes is gonna be a dad." He says, shaking his head.
"None of us can." Tez says as he gets on a mini bike and rides out to where the guys are. Gia kicks.
"You wanna feel her kick?" I ask. He gives me his hand and I laugh and set it on my belly. She does what feels like a summer salut.
"Damn." He says with a laugh.
"Come on." He says. We then begin to walk over where the guys are. Hayes is sitting on his bike. Tez is riding the track and nash and Johnnie are with Hayes. We reach them and will snacks Hayes's helmet. He turns around and flips up the visor.
"Your kid is kicking." Will says. Hayes frowns.
"That means feel it hayes." Johnnie says. I laugh. I walk closer to hayes and put his hand on my belly. Almost instantly, Gia moves. And then moves again. And again.
"Jesus." Hayes says. They laugh.
"I wanna feel." Nash says. He walks over and I place his hand where Hayes's was.
"She's active." He says. I nod
"That's exactly how Sky was." Johnnie says.
"And she was a handful when she was born. So you two, be prepared." He tells hayes and I. I look at Hayes.
"Great."
