Kendall -the next month-
"if you don't wanna be on camera that's fine. we don't have to film." hayes say.
"it's not that i don't wanna be on camera. like i'm just scared. i've been super inactive." i say.
"okay. well just talk about it when you guys land." he says.
"okay. we'll see you soon." i say. we say our goodbyes and then i hang up.
"aren't you and hayes supposed to get married now?" sky asks, playing with gia's foot.
"what do you mean?" i ask
"well will and jeanne are married and they have ellie." she says. i nod
"and you and hayes have gia but you guys aren't married." she says.
"well because it's kinda different." i say. she nods.
"and we don't mind do we, sky? we love gia and kendall just as much as we love jeanne and ellie." elizabeth says. i give her a soft smile. lately, i've been talking with hayes about how i think his family is kinda ashamed of us not being together still. he's said that that was crazy. his family is more supportive of us then anything, regardless if we're together or not. which is a nice reassurance sometimes
"here. let me see gia so you can get in a quick nap before we land." elizabeth says. i had gia over to her and attempt to get a little more comfortable. soon, i'm fast asleep.
-2 hours later-
"i think her ears popped." i say as i rock gia. we just got off the plane and gia isn't having one bit of it.
"you gotta be happy babygirl. you're gonna see your daddy soon." elizabeth says. i laugh.
"okay. they said they're gonna meet us at baggage claim." she adds, looking up from her phone. i nod and we begin to walk towards baggage claim. gia soon calms down and is now drifting in and out of sleep.
"hayes!" i hear sky exclaim. i look up and she's already off towards hayes and nash. i chuckle. he picks her up and spins her around.
"what's up short stack?" he tells her, setting her down.
"nothing much." she says. he laughs.
"there's the show." nash says. i smile and give him a side hug.
"you dad could not shut up about you." he says to gia, rubbing her hand softly. she smiles even though she's technically asleep. nash moves on to his mom and i walk to hayes.
"i missed her." he says, picking her up lightly from my arms. she stretches as he sets her on his chest. i smile. he gives me a hug and then sky begins to get impatient. we quickly grab our bags and head to hayes car. he sets gia in her car seat and loads the bags as i buckle her up.
"we're gonna drive with nash and taylor." elizabeth says. we nod and tell them bye and then get in the jeep.
"it's weird having you guys close again." he says, pulling off. i laugh.
"i know. it's refreshing though." i say
"how was she? how were you?" he asks
"we had our nights. i think for a week i ran, literally off of 8 hours of sleep. like the whole week." i say. he laughs.
"she was a handful." i say. he nods.
"well you guys are here now for a couple of weeks. so you can catch up on sleep." he says. i nod with a smile. i'm glad we're all together again.
