"you and elizabeth are still friends?" i ask my mom, walking into the kitchen. she nods.
"yes we are. she coming over for lunch tomorrow." she says.
"mom." i say.
"what? just go hang out with rosa or something." she shrugs.
"rosa and i don't hang out anymore. her mom thought i was a bad influence." i roll my eyes.
"how did her mom find out?" she asks.
"rosa told her." i say. she shakes her head
"i never liked rosa anyways." she says. i laugh.
"is it just her coming over? or is she bringing everyone?" i ask.
"i think her, johnnie and sky are coming." she says. i nod
"are josie and sky still friends?" i ask. she nods
"they have play dates every so often. everytime i go over with josie, the boys are there." she says. i nod
"it's nice riding weather." i say. she nods
"nash is always the one to ask how your doing. then will, then hayes, he'll chime in a bit." she says. i nod
"yea. he hates me for leaving at such a weird time." i say. i broke up with hayes about 6 months ago. we broke up just around the time that we were going to get a place together. i got freaked out, not only because we were gonna move in together, but that i was also a month pregnant and had no plans on telling hayes anytime soon. weeks before i found out i was pregnant, hayes and i had a discussion about our future. he said he didn't want kids for another 4 years at least. then following that, i found out i was pregnant and became really scared. i feared that he was gonna break up with me and my family wasn't going to accept me. so, instead i told my mom, she completely supported me and then i broke up with hayes and came back to NC. i also proceeded to unfollow any account associated with hayes and made my instagram account private.
"i'm sure he doesn't hate you. he's probably really confused but i don't think he hates you." she says. i roll my eyes.
"i'm sure he hates me." i say. she rolls her eyes and shakes her head
"he has nothing but good things to say when he talks about you." she says.
"that's around you mom." i say. she nods
"that's true." she says. i laugh.
"i'm gonna go take a nap." i say. she nods and gives me a smile. i hop off the island chair and then make my way upstairs and to my room. i then lay down and set a timer on my phone for 30 minutes, slowly falling asleep.
