The wind whips past me and caresses my face, making my blue hair fly out of my braid as I bury my head into Jacobs back.

We're headed towards his house to meet his family. His only means of transportation is a motorcycle, luckily for him I've always liked the rush.

My arms grip his waist tighter as I think about our previous conversation.

Flashback to earlier conversation;

"So what exactly are you?"

He asks me as we walk along the beach, hand in hand.

I look at him through the sunlight shining down at us.

"Well I'm a Siren, sort of like a mermaid except.....more..Uh..evil."

I tell him chuckling slightly. His eyebrows raise and his mouth opens and closes, like a fish out of water.

How ironic.

"Well..."

He clears his throat slightly, looking back at me.

"I sure wasn't expecting that!"

He tells me chuckling. I smile.

"Well I already know your a shifter."

I tell him and as we continue walking. His nose wrinkles as he smirks.

"That bad huh."

He says with a laugh. I nod my head slightly.

"What animal?"

I question him, the hot sand warming my feet.

"Wolf."

He responds without thought. I nod approvingly.

"Do you have any other shifters in the family?"

I ask him. Looking into his chocolate eyes. He nods his head in a 'yes'.

"Mhm, their my pack, I would love for you to meet them since we're mates."

He questions, his eyes unsure. Almost waiting for rejection.

I smile happily, stopping to hug him.

"Of course I'll meet them!"

Back to present:

So here I am, on the back of Jacobs motorcycle, going to meet his family. Oh I'm so excited! I hope they like me.

I look back down at my outfit, I changed into something more 'family friendly', but still cute!

After a few more minutes of driving, we pull into a quaint and homey looking house. A black truck in the driveway.

The engine dies and Jacob pulls out the keys. I climb off of the motorcycle and then he does the same. We walk hand in hand towards the house. He knocks twice, looking at me with a smile.

The door is opened by a man in a wheelchair with log black hair and a cowboy hat on.

"Jacob!"

The man cries opening up his arms and Jacob leans down to hug him. Once they separate, the man turns to me and his nostrils flair, his smile doesn't waver. Jacob gestured to the man then me.

"Lyra, this is my dad, Billy, dad this is Lyra."

He introduces us, I smile at the man and hug him tightly.

"Pleasure to meet you Billy."

I tell him.

The man kindly nods his head in greeting.

"She's my imprintee."

Jacob finishes. Billy eyes widen and so does his smile.

"Yeee hawww!! My boy has got himself an mate!! Lyra, Jacob get in here!"

He shouts, wheeling back into the house. I laugh and so does Jacob. He walks into the room, following his dad. I continue after him, still holding his hand.

"Jacobs got him self a mate?!"

Shouts a different voice, one that makes me shiver.

That's odd.

"Where's the unlucky gal!"

Another one asks, giving me the same effect. As we walk into the room we are faced with six tan and toned backs of different heights. All facing Billy and talking to him. Jacobs father looks to us and smiles, wheeling towards us slowly.

"There they are!"

He says. Along with him the six other people turn.

We connect eyes. And it's the first moments on the beach all over again.

Oh...

"..shit.."
