Thomas P.O.V

I pull into my house to get another shirt. Once I step out of my car, I'm greeted with that same house. The one he use to live in.
I quickly look away, stepping inside. Once I'm inside, I find my mom watching TV on the couch. She's asleep again,

like always.

I walk upstairs to my room and grab a black velvet shirt with more buttons.

Its not magenta, but its good enough.

I set Alexanders shirt inside my dresser. It smells just like him..

And I love it.

I walk back out to my car, making sure to avoid eye contact with any house and drive away. After what seemed like forever, I finally make it to my job at this office. Its a tall building. Not as big as any building around it, but big enough to stand out. It was made out of a shiny gray thing that I couldn't make out. I park in the tiny parking lot right next to it, and walk inside. I check my outfit to make sure everything is in tact. My shoes are still shiny, my pants are still eligant. My shirt is slick and black. Not my favorite, but it still looks good. I wish I could wear something magenta.

My brain quickly comes up with something. I reach into my backpack that I brought and pull out a magenta tie. I quickly tie to up on my shirt and step inside the building.

When I step in, warm air hits my skin. I smell a strong scent of butterscotch from a cheap air freshener next to the entrance. When you walk in, there's a tiny waiting room. At the front of the room, is a small desk. There's a tiny lady with brown hair, flowing down to her stomach, typing away while writing something down. She looks up to sse me standing there.

"Hello! Welcome to The New York Post. I'm Elizabeth. How may I help you? " She gives me a slight smile.

"I'm here for an interview." I walk up to the desk, making sure to not trip on any of the chairs in my way.

"Of course! Are you Mr.Jefferson?"

"Yeah." I nod slightly.

"Amazing! George will be with you shortly. Please have a seat and wait."

She goes back to typing and writing things down. I turn around, scanning the room for an open seat. I decide to sit by the front desk. There's a single TV playing something silent. Its something about fishermen catching fish in the sea. All you can hear is office music. I watch the TV with no expression till it suddently turns off. The lights in the room also turn off. I look to the typing women. She's gone. She must have left when I wasn't laying attention.  I examine the hanging TV until I hear the door very close to me slams open. I see a flustered short man stomp out.

I cant really see him clearly, but he has fairly long, brownish-red hair. His eyes are blue. His expression is angry.

Alex.

I try to hide my face, so he doesn't notice me. I see someone else walk out behind him. He's a tall man. His head is bald and shiny. He also looks mad.

"I told you to pay the electric bill!"

He shouts at Alex. I see Alex quickly shoot around to glare at him.

"I would pay it if we had money!"

Alex goes to sit in a chair by the wall, putting his head in his hands.

"I have a wedding to plan anyways. I can't waste my time paying even more bills then I already do."

They are getting married. Alexander and John. Are getting .. Married.

"IF YOUR SO BUSY, THEN WHY DONT YOU LEAVE. "

I hear the taller man scream. I turn to Alex, who is now standing up. Although I can't see, I know he's crying.
"P-please George.. I need this job. I l-love to write. "  His tears overpowing his speech.

That's the boss?

"If you want to keep this job, you better pay those bills by tomorrow. Got it?" George sounds stern.

"Y-yes sir." Alex nods quickly.

"Good. Now.." I turn to see George go into the other room. He brings out a lamp, powered by battery.

"Until then, I guess we will have to use this as a light sorce." He turns it on to see me sitting there, shocked.

"Oh! M-mr.Jefferson!" He stammeres.
I arkwardly smile at him. Before I can say anything I'm interrupted.

"Jefferson?"
I turn quickly to see Alexander standing there, tears in his eyes. He looks broken.

Broken.

"I-I'm sorry." I start to say, before getting interrupted again.

"Have you two met?" George questions.

I turn back to Alex to see what he says.

"Nope."

He quickly grabs his coat hanging on a coat hanger with four other jackets. He walks out of the building with tears still in his eyes.

"Nope." I repeat.

George shruges his shoulders.

"Now. Time for the interview."

He directs me to his office and procceds to question me.
