He split up the guards to go out and search, sending the spies to see where Ben's uncle was to see if he hadn't been taken by him. Alec sends a message to his mom to tell her what was happening. He waits and gets on the bus that drove to the bus stop heading to the town. Alec gets on and sits on the bus as it drives on to the town. This gave him a lot of time to think and worry making him impatient to find Benjamin.

When he came into town Alec got off the bus he tried to track down the perfume smell. But it was nowhere to be found. So Alec just decides to ask around asking people if they have seen Benjamin. Only one person said they saw Benjamin when he came into the shop to buy some snacks and drinks. He goes into the direction of where the worker said he saw the younger boy go, and tries to find the scent. Alec was seriously worried about his mate, he couldn't bare losing Ben. His wolf, Dan was going crazy 'MATE! WHERES MATE?!' This goes on for three days and he hadn't found anything. One day he looks around the town going into stores to ask about Ben. One person said that he saw someone that fit the description of Ben near a motel. "But be careful around there it has a dark history". The man warns him before heading on his way. Alec thanks the man before running to the motel.

He looks around as he walks up to the front door, and sees a lot of sketchy people in the parking lot. It was night time so it was hard to see their faces. 'Who would dare go here to sleep?' Alec thinks to himself as he goes inside. "Hello, sir was there someone who came in here who looked like this?" He asked the man at the front desk showing a picture of Benjamin. "Oh yeah, he came here a few days ago or something like that". The man tells him kinda in a bored tone. "Well? Where is he, what room is he in"? Alec said getting mad at the man for not telling him more. "He's in room 1-0- something hang on". The man said going to his log book and flipped through slowly finding Ben's room number. "1-0-7 there happy, sir" The man annoyed with Alec. "Yes sir I am," he tells him before going out the door to go find the door number. Alec knocks on the motel "Benjamin?! Ben! Benjamin open the door!" He says loudly as he bangs on the door.

Benjamin was scared since the time he had been at the motel. The phone rang with no one there multiple times, someone banged on the door and when he went to check and see no one was there. When he went out to the store to get some food the people outside were staring at him. When he got back and inside the room, the banging came back. Tonight Ben peeked out and saw a man that didn't look like he worked at the motel. So he stayed in the bathroom from there on as the banging continued until it went quiet. After a while he had fallen asleep in the bathroom, then he heard banging again but also he heard his name being called. He got out of the bathroom trying to be as quiet as possible and looks out the peephole. When he saw Alec he immediately opened the door and pulled him inside.

"Why the hell did you leave me?" Alec asked slightly mad but relieved that he seemed to be okay. Benjamin was to busy locking the door to answer him. "What are you doing?" Alec asked him concerned now. "It's scary here, the phone rang with no one there, someone kept on trying to come in, I'm scared". Ben said quietly and whimpered as he hugs him. Alec holds him tightly as he felt so worried for his mate now, wanting him to be safe and secure. "It's okay Luna it'll be okay, I'll take you home. I'll keep you safe". Alec says being protective now for his mate's safety. Then the banging on the door starts again. "Go to the bathroom I'll be there in a minute". He whispered to him and Ben nods going to the bathroom again. Alec goes to the door looking out the peephole seeing a man with a knife. He pulls a chair up against the door, then heads back to the bathroom to wait out the person at the door.

Alec hugs him, "it's okay once they are gone we'll leave. You'll be safe with me I promise you, Luna". He whispered to him to comfort him. Benjamin hid his face into his chest and tears up as the banging got louder. Alec rubbed his back when he started crying. After a few more minutes the banging stopped, Alec gets up pulling Ben up with him. "Benjamin go grab your bag put it on we're running out of here Okay?" He says pulling the chair away from the door. Ben nods and puts his backpack on going over to the door. They hold hands and Alec as he unlocked the door. The two go out the door and runs away from the motel, the man with the knife following them down a few blocks.

They get to a bus stop, sitting down on the bench after losing the man, get on the bus when it arrived and sits next to each other. Alec smells Ben's hair to calm himself but the smell of his mate barely there. "Why do you smell like that?" He asked him looking over at him. "What do you mean?" "Your scent it's not like the original". Alec says pouting as he looks at him. "Well, Rebecca gave me some perfume when I left." He says to him looking up at him. "Can I see the perfume"? Ben nods and grabs the perfume out of the bag giving it to him. Alec smells it and furrows his eyebrows "smells like a beta and an omega scent together." He says scrunching up his nose. "I don't know she just said to use it when I left," Ben says to him as Alec puts the bottle away. "You're definitely going to have to take a shower when we get back especially when you were in that filthy motel." Ben nods and lays his head on his shoulder closing his eyes, falling asleep.
