Alec woke Benjamin up when they get to their bus stop. They walk off together and since Benjamin seemed tired Alec picked him up, carrying him bridal style. "Ben, Why did you leave?" Alec asked him suddenly while he walked through the woods. "I couldn't take being in that house anymore. I couldn't have a day without you by my side I just felt.....I don't know the word...just like no offense to you but it felt like you kept hovering over me. Then you proposed to me....." Ben explained, tired and now feeling sad. Alec sighed "why didn't you just tell me? We could have worked something out". "I didn't know if you would actually leave me out of your site you just watch over me like I'm going to be broken at any moment if anything happens. How is that supposed to make me feel like you would actually allow me to go somewhere on my own."
Alec stays silent as he thinks about it feeling guilty. "I guess your right....I guess I was too protective over you. I may have also been a little selfis-"
"May have been?" Ben says questioningly. "I have been selfish, I have never had my mate before and wanted us to be like my friends' mates. Just be the perfect mates, but I took it to far knowing your human." Alec says taking the time to stop and just talk to Ben while holding him. "Can you promise me that unless it's an actual threat or someone around me is a threat to be protective but if it's just with your pack please leave me be". Benjamin basically pleaded with him to rail back how he 'protects' him. Alec nods in understanding, "Alright I will I'll try not to be so protective and worry about you so much." "Thank you," he says and kisses his cheek. Alec blushed slightly since Ben had just recently started to get used to initiating skinship and kissing his cheek.
"Okay now you try to sleep I'll get us home okay Luna?" He asked nuzzling his neck slightly. "Alright Alec", he says smiling tiredly closing his eyes laying his head against his shoulder. Alec takes a deep breath still feeling guilty about how he acted. But for now, he had to focus on getting his Luna home and in the safety of their bed. After a while of walking he gets home, Ben still asleep. He goes in trying not to wake him up and his mom along with Sam. "There you are where did you go are you two hurt?" Alec's mom says worried, Alec shushed her so she didn't wake Ben. "We're both okay Ben is just tired, so I'm going to take him to bed". Alec says quietly almost a whisper, Sam sniffed the air and crinkled his nose. "Ew, what's that smell?" "Ben was at the most disgusting motel I have ever seen, trust me it was way worse then how Ben smells." He says to him remembering all the events at the motel. "Well, you better shower as well you ain't smelling pretty either." Sam tells him teasingly "yeah yeah.....uh Sam I'm gonna get Ben upstairs but I need you to look into something for me". "Yeah sure, what is it?"
"Ben said that Rebecca gave him this perfume before he left. I smelled it the day he left but after awhile i couldn't smell any scent that was his." Alec says and Sam instantly understood what he needed. "Of course, do you want me to call back the guards as well?" Sam asked him and Alec nods before going to the stairs. "Please also ask one of them to keep an eye on what Rebecca is doing I have a really bad feeling about her actions ever since Ben arrived." He tells him before heading up the stairs. Alec goes to his room and lays him down, taking his backpack off of him. He changes his clothes after taking a shower, putting them in the laundry basket. Alec does the same for Ben so he didn't smell so bad, then grabs his bag opening it up. He gives Ben his stuffed bear and grabs the perfume going downstairs to meet up with Sam. "Sam lets take this into my dad's office". He says to Sam, and his friend followed him into the room.

Alec closes the doors and goes to sit at the desk. "This is the perfume what I smelled was an omega and beta scent together, what do you think". He asked giving the bottle to Sam and he smells it. Sam takes the time to process the scent in the bottle. "Feels like theirs something else tho.....don't know what it could be though." He tells him smelling the scent again, really trying to figure out what it might be made of. "Would you like me to give this to Charlie I'm sure he could try to figure out what this is made of". Sam tells him "alright but make sure this is kept secret from the others and that includes Rebecca."
"Ah come on I don't think Rebecca is trying to be bad". Sam says to him looking over at him. "Ever since Ben arrived and I rejected her she's been acting strange. She keeps trying to get with me even if Ben is known as my mate. She didn't even speak up about Ben leaving and gave that perfume to him. I couldn't even smell the scent anymore when I got to the bus stop I couldn't smell him anymore." Alec says to him getting irritated just by thinking about Rebecca. Sam nods now understanding why he thought of Rebecca in a bad way. "I see well go to bed and sleep, you must be tired". He says to Alec massaging his tense shoulder. Alec takes a deep breath, sighing and nods getting up to leave. "Make sure that bottle is hidden away okay I don't want anything happening to it." Alec says serious, and goes out to go upstairs.
He gets to the bedroom and closes the door quietly, before getting into bed. Even though he didn't like Ben's current mixed scent he still pulled him close. Sleeping while spooning his mate, and he couldn't be happier that he could after 5 days of searching for him.
