~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Before my dad and I entered the room, all the bridesmaids and groomsmen went in first......like the old fashioned way..
"I'm really proud you sweetie."
"Thanks Dad."
I smiled, Mom and Dad have been raising me for all these years....and now it's time for them to let go..
"Whomever you choose today.....I'll be happy for you and will be blessed to call him 'son'........."
I hugged him tightly and shed a tear,"Thank you Daddy."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

It's time.............-sigh- ...................why do I feel................so confident yet frightened? The human brain really is a work of art...........

"You ready?"

"Sure."

I take small little steps forward....... trying not to trip on the dress and step on the flower pedals my little nephew and niece freed.

Every single step I took, I endured........not wanting to get closer to 'them.'

James standing proud and tall like a grinning statue....showing the same facial expression to everyone who glances his way. And Kevin....folding his hands.......surveying the chapel for a minute.....and looked me in the eye. Not in a creepy way...but in a gentle...way that soothes me down.

I look into his eyes too.....five feet away.....and then to James....four feet away....

Every stride I take, more beats my heart skips and the less confidence I maintain.

3, take a deep breath...

2, and let it out.

1, it's time for action.

"We are gathered here today to join Sabrina Grace Olson and her groom in a life of mutual commitment. It is fitting and appropriate that you, the friends and family of the grrom and bride, be here to witness and to participate in their union. For the ideals, the understanding, and the mutual respect which they bring to their life together had their roots in the love, friendship, and guidance you have given them. The union of two people makes us aware of the changes wrought by time. But the new relationship will continue to draw much of its beauty and meaning from the intimate associations of their past."

A loud, cheering applause has responded.

"Now, let's start with the possible groom's vow."

"Do you James Aaron Moore, take Sabrina Grace Olson to be your lawfully wedded wife, promising to love and cherish, through joy and sorrow, sickness and health, and whatever challenges you may face, for as long as you both shall live?"

"I do."

"Do you Kevin Paul Thompson,  take Sabrina Grace Olson to be your lawfully wedded wife, promising to love and cherish, through joy and sorrow, sickness and health, and whatever challenges you may face, for as long as you both shall live?"

"I do."

"Last but not least the bride's vow."

GULP.

"Do you Sabrina Grace Olson take James Aaron Moore to be your lawfully wedded husband, promising to love and cherish, through joy and sorrow, sickness and health, and whatever challenges you may face, for as long as you both shall live?"

I look down on my hands, closing my tired eyes, and praying that whatever happens, we three will remain friends......till the end.

I open my eyes slowly, look at their faces, take a deep breath, and shed a tear.

"James, Kevin. Can you both promise me that whoever I chose today, you won't hold a grudge and remain friends?"

Both smiled and nodded.

"What's your response Ms. Olson?" the wedding officiator questioned.

Another tear appeared on my face and smiled.

"I........don't........."

A huge wave of gasps filled the room.

I looked at James and saw him smiling as big as ever.

Then at Kevin which wore a shocked expression.

"Why are you happy James?"

"Because....you found the person that makes you the most happiest."

I hugged him tightly and cried.

"Thank you so much."

"Your welcome." he responded as he kissed my cheek.

"Shall we continue the bride's vows?"

I nodded.

"Do you Sabrina Grace Olson take Kevin Paul Thompson to be your lawfully wedded husband, promising to love and cherish, through joy and sorrow, sickness and health, and whatever challenges you may face, for as long as you both shall live?"

I laughed and said,"Yeah I do."

"Now it's time for the exchange of the rings."

Kevin gently slipped the shiny object onto my finger while focusing on my eyes.

I picked up the other while doing the same action he did to me.

"I pronounce you, husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."

Kevin smirked,"You are full of surprises." and kissed my to his heart content, while I wrapped my arms over his neck and enjoyed the moment.

A few seconds later, Kevin picked me up and walked across the white carpet.

The marriage song went on and whole crowd goes wild.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We went over to the wine area and dance hall next. Everyone dancing all so gracefully, while Kevin and I were thanking guests for their congratulations. About 10 minutes later, we were all alone on the balcony.
"Are you satisfied now?" I teased him.
"Um.....no not yet."
I laughed.
"It looks like James is hitting it off."
I glance at the dance hall and saw him laughing and dancing with another lady.
I smiled. My heart is finally at ease.
"So......why did you pick me instead of James?"
I walked closer to him and look into his eyes.
"Because...........that's what my heart determined."
He smiled and pressed his lips onto mine.
