Chapter 7 - My Best Friend

Continued from last chapter/ scene...........At McDonald's

I ordered the Number 2 Combo (Don't think wrong; it's just two cheeseburgers, medium fries, and a medium soft drink.), while Kevin ordered 40 pieces of chicken mcnuggets, small fries, and a medium soft drink. 

We looked around for tables, but it was all packed so we decide to eat at the park next door. It was an ordinary park; tall green trees, healthy-looking grass, a children's playground, and benches for us for sit on.

Kevin had a light blue tablecloth in his trunk (which he recently bought), and insist we use it. I told him I was alright with sitting on the grass, but he didn't hesitate. He sure is a generous man.

We ate and talked about our lives, what we were planning to do in the future. Kevin said he wanted to wanted to own a business, like me.

"Oh my gosh! I want to do that too! We should totally work together and collaborate some time!"

"That would be great." he smiled.

He offered me some of his chicken mcnuggets, while i offered some fries. 

After we ate, we decide to go on a stroll around the area. Kevin said we should have lunch next week, .....if I had time. I told him I couldn't. And that was the time I mentioned my wedding.

He looked astonished. Very astonished.

"Yeah..... it'll be held within a couple months, but you should totally come. James is making our guest list today."

"I'd like that. And congrats. He sure is a lucky guy..." he grinned.

"Yeah..he is."

"Well... it was nice seeing you, call me if you have some free time and we'll hang."

"I will."

That day; was when we regained our friendship back, the day when two friends reunited. I'll never forget this day, but I did feel a bit of guilt in my heart. Why am I feeling guilty anyway?

I mean we're just friends,.......... best friends.
