Sarah's pov
It's the middle of the night, and I wake up to the sound of arguing outside the truck. I rub my eyes and look around at the other girls, quickly finding my friends in the corner huddled up, and releasing a sigh of relief. I quickly move over to the door, pressing my ear up against the cold metal, hearing the muffled chirps of crickets and arguing of the men."We might as well, after all this business is dying fast since you just had to get that broad. A broad that no one wants unless it's as a slave, which is what i'm trying to run now!" "Well, I think we should stick to this run, heck just one day running a slave service will make us crash and burn!!" A slave service? I lean back onto my hands, quickly sliding away from the door, as if getting away from it will help me escape this truck, help me escape this hell hole."A-A sl-slave service?" I cover my mouth, feeling myself back into another cold metal wall, staring at the door. They're going to make us slaves? What kind of sick people are they? Just kidnapping girls then forcing them to do god knows what out there, then making them have to be slaves too?!I shut my eyes tightly and wrap my arms around my legs, pulling them into my chest. No one is coming, no one will save us, no one cares that we're being put through all of this. It's like we've vanished from the world, shut in this cage and tortured each day, being brought out there to do their bidding. It's like our humanity has been stripped from us. Soon enough I can feel my eyelids becoming heavy as my body slowly leans down, falling onto the floor. I close my eyes and drift off, letting sleep envelope me and take me away from this cruel reality, whisking me away into another land where anything is possible.
