Heat crept itself into me, as soon as the girl beside me shifted her sleeping figure to my side.
My arms made their way around her waist and she placed one of her legs in between mine.
I would feel cold these nights, but luckily I had this girl with me, so we can warm each other up.
Don't get me wrong, sleeping beside Daniel is ok but sometimes he just has to kick me or something else that hurts my exhausted body.
I'm so glad that (y/n) sometimes took my spot and slept beside him since he doesn't kick her.
Instead of that, he hugs and cuddles her, which kind of annoys me because she's my girlfriend, but whatever...
Sometimes I ask myself why she chose to come with us on this "journey".
We actually weren't together before this trip, I was too focused on crushing on Jenn, but Lyla said that (y/n) is much better and cares more about me, so I started to have some enormous feelings for her, lol.
I was about to doze off again, but someone jumped on the bed.
Mushroom.
My eyes opened and looked for the female dog, who was currently trying to get to Daniel.
"Mushroom... Don't scare me like that..." I whispered and heard the two beside me laugh.
"She just wants to cuddle, Sean... Like you..." Daniel snickered while pointing at my arms that were still tightly around (y/n)'s waist.
I stuck my lower lip out while blushing.
When I looked at (y/n), she was smiling and stretched herself.
"What a pretty sky... Up for a small night walk?" she asked me and I nodded and got our coats.
"I'll stay here with Mushroom if you don't mind... I'm too tired after using my powers this much..." Daniel said, putting down his magazine he accidentally fell asleep on.
We got dressed and sat outside.
With "a walk" she probably meant just sitting down and talking.
I pulled out the cigarettes I had in my jacket and offered one to her, but she shook her head.
Oops.
I forgot that she isn't Lyla and doesn't like the smell of smoking, so I quickly finished and threw it away.
"I'm sorry, sometimes I just need it... Especially now..." I said looking down.
"It's fine... You definitely need it more than I do..."
"So... I kind of have a plan where we are going..." I mumbled towards her and she nodded, slowly cuddling into my side.
"I first thought about visiting my and Daniel's grandparents, they live in Beaver Creek... But it'll take two days to walk there... I'm not sure if we have the power for it... After that... We'll go to Mexico... Puerto Lobos..."
Her loving gaze set to my eyes and she slowly leaned in.
"I love it when you use that accent..." she smiled and I smirked back.
"I know you do"
Then I kissed her.
As we parted, she smiled again.
"What's wrong, babe?" I asked as I saw her frowning.
"It's just... I'm scared that anything is going to happen to you or Daniel... What if your grandparents don't like me?" she shivered, but I once again caught her in my arms.
"Nothing's going to happen... And who the fuck wouldn't like you? You're like the most awesome person on this world... People should be grateful if they have you as their friend... And I'm lucky enough to have you as my girlfriend... Glad I didn't choose Jenn..." I smirked at her.
~Normal P.O.V.~
You smiled at the sweet words he said.
"I love you" you said and he blushed at all of a sudden.
"I love you too"
...
"Uhm... I don't wanna interrupt you guys, but Mushroom peed on the floor..." Daniel said from inside.
Sean groaned and you laughed.
"I'm gonna clean the mess" you said standing up and he suddenly missed your warmth.
"Man, I hate that you're doing this voluntarily" he murmured and you shook your head.
"I do it with pleasure" you said, but the last part meant sarcastically.
As soon as you entered, Daniel left the house.
He went beside Sean, asking what the plan was.
He explained the same he did to you, but grasped Daniel's hand.
"Daniel, please do me a favor... Never hurt (y/n)... When I saw what happened in the hotel room the other day, I was so worried that you'd get her injured..." Sean muttered looking down.
"Sean, I would never ever do something to her... She's like a big sister to me... Even if I lose control, I can't hurt her... She's not only special to you, but also to me..." he pointed at the closed door, where you were laughing at Mushroom, "Mushroom loves her too... Without her, we couldn't do this trip... I will try to protect her from any harm at all costs with my power... You should too..."
Sean smiled warmly at him, ruffling his hair.
"Never knew you could get this emotional... And don't worry, I will..." he hugged his little brother.
The two of them got back inside, ready for some rest, so they had strength to walk tomorrow.
