"Jaime when are we going to open our gifts?" I asked excitedly. It was Christmas Eve and it was me and Jaime's 3rd Christmas together. We always opened one gift on the Eve and the rest in the morning. "Just hold on, babe!" My drop dead gorgeous boyfriend said, trying not to spill hot mugs of Chai all over the place. Finally he set the cups down on the coffee table. I gently handed him the box. "Open this one first!" I exclaimed.
"Vic, why does it have holes in the top?" He laughed.
"You'll see." I said, kissing his shoulder lovingly. He opened the box and his eyes went wide. "You got me a puppy?!" He exclaimed tackling me to the floor and placing kisses all over my face before capturing my lips with his and kissing me deeply. "Thanks, Vicky. We'll call him Pablo. He looks like you!" He said before helping me up. I smiled, god I love that boy. He went turned off the lights so the the room was only illuminated by the shining tree. Then he picked up a small black box from under the tree and nervously fiddled with it. "Victor Vincent Fuentes, I've know you for so many years and I've been in love with you for all of them." He began, gazing into my eyes with love and getting down on one knee. My eyes went wide. "Oh..." I whispered. "Vic, babe, will you marry me?" He asked with hopeful eyes as he opened the box to reveal a ring. "Hell yeah I will." I muttered, grabbing the back of his neck and kissing him passionately. When we pulled away Jaime sighed in relief. "When you said 'oh' I though you didn't want to." He said, pulling me down onto the couch and wrapping his arms around my waist. "Who wouldn't want to marry you?" I replied cheekily. "I mean goddamn you're perfect." He pulled me in for another kiss. I picked up Pablo and kissed him gently while Jaime turned on a movie. When he sat back down on the couch I cuddled up next to him and pressed my face into his neck. "I love you." I mumbled against his warm skin. "I love you too." He said.
