When Alex woke up he smiled wildly. It was his 5th year anniversary with his boyfriend Jack. "What are you smiling about 'Lex?" Jack asked sleepily. "You don't remember?" Alex asked, confused and hurt. Jack always remembers things. "No what are you talking about?" Jack mumbled.
"Just... Never mind." Alex says, getting out of bed and getting dressed. Jack shrugged and got up as well.
Throughout the day, Jack pestered Alex about what he had forgotten, but Alex wanted Jack to remember it by himself. Frustrated, Jack went to a bar while Alex stayed home. Halfway through his first beer, Jack choked and realized what he had forgotten. His and Alex's anniversary. Since he had only a few sips l alcohol Jack wasn't drunk. He hopped in his car and drove back to his flat where he found Alex in bed, crying softly. "Alex shhh I'm so sorry!" Jack said, climbing into bed next to his boyfriend. "I was distracted and yeah." He trailed off, wrapping his arms around his boyfriend. "It's okay, Jack." Alex sighed. "No it isn't because now you're crying." Jack protested. Alex just looked up at him and kissed him gently. "It's fine babe, just don't so it again." He said softly. Jack smiled and kissed him again. "Can we cuddle?" Alex asked. Jack nodded and wrapped his arms around Alex.
