EXO - TEMPO

"I never bring anyone home. So..erm-my mum would k-kind of be a little scary..", Yoongi mutters while fumbling for the house key in his pocket. As he found it, he inserts in the lock and unlocks it.

Namjoon planned to study together with Yoongi but we all know now thats just an excuse so he could spent time with the boy. We know all he ever does was-partially of the study together time- he would stare at Yoongi instead. Yoongi said he had to go home since its almost close to his curfew, so Namjoon suggested his place.

Both boys carried on walking in the house and not a minute later another sound of fumbling keys coming from the door. In walks Yoongi's mother with a exhausted face. She perks up when she saw Namjoon, "Yoongi."

"W-welcome home, m-mum."

"Its close your curfew, and you just got home?", she asks bluntly but eyes flicking back and forth from her son to the boy beside him.

"Sorry mother, I-"

"And you are?", she raises her eyebrows while taking off her heels silently.

"Oh! Right um.. Mrs. Min, Im Namjoon. K-Kim Namjoon ma'am. Im Yoongi's schoolmate."

" I can see that.", she retorts back, well of course she knows he's Yoongi's schoolmate since they are wearing the same uniforms.

"He's a friend of mine mum."

Namjoon visibly gulps, his mother isnt like this and most of all he had never confronted this kind of person before. So safe to say, he agreed when Yoongi said she's quite scary.

"A friend? I dont remember seeing you in Yoongi's class.", she was actually quite straightforward as she looks at Namjoon.

"He's from another class-"

"Yoongi, Im talking to him.", she warns softly, "Which class are you in?", she asks again Namjoon while walking in the kitchen grabbing a glass of water.

"Class 5-2 ma'am.", Namjoon answers confidently.

She then looks at Namjoon up and down and taking in his appearance, Namjoon had his uniform a few unbuttons, wearing a necklace, two finger rings on his hand and earrings. And Namjoon's silver hair makes it even more worst. She cant seem to accept the fact they are friends , let alone Yoongi being friends with Namjoon. You can already tell whats his difference with Yoongi's appearance. She didnt like it. No, she wouldnt approve it.

"So what brings you here?"

"We're studying together. I asked Yoongi to help me with Math and I would help him with English."

"English?", she turns to her son now, "I thought youre doing fine with English.", a statement more than a question intended.

"Not really mum..", he mutters, scared now his mother would be mad.

"So you think you can help him?"

"He's pretty fluent with English m-mum..", Yoongi adds but voice quieter.

"I was raised in New York for 10 years so safe to say yes ma'am I can help him with English.", Namjoon finally speaks up, and rather proud of his own self for doing so. He doesnt exactly know where the confidence came but he likes it.

Her gaze lingered a few seconds more between both boys, then averts away with a soft but amused smile, "Very well then. Go ahead, I'll bring in some snacks and drinks."

-

"I think your mum doesn't like me.", Namjoon whispers to Yoongi while leaning the table over.

"She does."

Namjoon puffs his cheeks, "I really think she doesnt like me though... Erm, should I dye my hair black? And I think I should get these off too.", he fumbles for his earrings and taking them off, along with his rings. Buttons up his uniform so he'll look much more proper but whats the point now? First impression has already been done when she got back.

"But... I kind of like your silver hair..", Yoongi blushes after then, looking down to his work when he was caught staring at Namjoon.

The fluttering feeling in Namjoon's chest tickles him all over forcing him to smile but holding it in as he looks away. He blushes at Yoongi's confession too.

"You do?"
