The sickness lasted longer than they wanted it to. In fact Nicole had been bed ridden ever since about two days into the sickness.

"Can I get you anything?" Yuuki had taken to doing most of the taking care of her and they talked often about different things about themselves and what they had been through in the years.

"No... just a bit of company. That is all." She said looking up above the blankets. She had been set to the couch and never let up as Tei had instructed her not to strain herself at all. "I wasn't to have a decent conversation with someone who is not me. That tends to add on to my sickness." She said sitting up further. At this point she was coming out of the fever. And the cause was still unknown. However the conformity brought on several things at once.

"Tanya wanted to know if she could visit you today. She knows how you get when you are sick and did not want to barge in on you while you were so." He said going on about the days morning messages from everyone in her circles. "And Scott said he would bring some of his Cheerios if you wanted him too. And Tony said your books were in the library and asked if you wanted him to check them out. Also yesterday in the shop A young woman named Veronica came in and asked for a photo shoot when you got the chance and for you to get better soon. A lot of people came in as well simply wishing you good tiding and bidding you good luck with getting better."

She smiled as she heard all the people that came in just to make sure she was okay. It was a bit of a comfort knowing people noticed she was gone. "Tell anyone that comes in today that I thank them for the well wishing and I will be sure to come back and help everyone I missed." This seemed o make her happier despite being so overwhelmed by her own disaster. "I feel so good that I have so many people watching over me. I feel like I have to pay them back for it."

"It's because of the influence you have over the public. This is a simple fact. Ever since you put yourself out there so many people have come to you. Just like they did your mother. She was a wonderful and influential person. And so are you." He said this and seemed to be honest and genuine about it. "I would be surprised it no one noticed the fact that you were gone."

"You think so. All I do is just take photos. Beat the crap out of  few edge and then head home. Of course I do the Saturday evening meet up for the kids. And they love that. And I love to go to the library and help out."  She said the smile on her face soft as she thought of all the things she genuinely loved to do. And he could tell she didn't think they were big things. And anyone could see that they were. "Just the simple things. I love the things I love. And if they happen to help someone out. Then let it help them. I don't need the recognition." She responded.

"I could tell. You do a lot of this stuff on your own time." Yuuki said as he thought about it. She had never been seen around town just, well, being around town. She was off doing something. Helping someone or doing some work. "So I would hope you continue to do so. It's a great addition to this messed up world. It is nice to have a bit of light in the world to balance all the darkness we see. It seems about right that someone like you would bring about such change."

It was on days like this that the two would get closer. "Surely you have something more ou could be doing than staying with me. Maybe Tei needs help in the shop. Or Scott is in trouble somewhere. I will be out of here soon. So do not worry about me. I am just fine. And I want to know that you are getting out there too. You have a life do you not?" She asked him this time giving him a look border line a mothers when she was asking about school grades. "Come on I will be fine for one afternoon. What is the most that could happen. I will cough or need a little more tea. Besides like I said yesterday I'm starting to get better. I do not need you wasting time on my Yuu-kun."
