"Hey I will be out and I will see you later. You are going off to do some guardian work with Scott? Right?" Nicole was on her way back to her own shop. She had decided staying around was a good idea and so when she was not out throwing herself into the fray of the world she was at Tei's tea shop. "And I'll bring by my camera. We can do a quick photo shoot."

"I have already told you no. I refuse to be in that camera of yours." Yuuki called after her as she left. Though he was ready to leave after her. "I will be back Grandfather do not hesitate to find some way to contact me should there be an emergency." He said earning a nod from his grandfather. 

"Get on with you. The day is long an you have plenty to do with your life than worry about an old man. Go meet the people of today." he said a knowing smile on his face. And please be wary of your language towards others."

You cryptic old man. I will be off. And I doubt today will be any different from any other day. It is just me and Scott. Nothing more nothing less." He scoffed before leaving the old man to his own company. 

Meanwhile a few blocks away in the lovely city of Lymn. Was a rampage. And there wasn't a minute wasted before Scott was there, beside Yuuki. " Hey bro! we have to jet! big emergency a few blocks away. Major damage. We gotta be careful reporters in the area say it could be a trap. More than it already is."

"Well then why are we still here then. You will need back up? Will you not. Always going in guns and fists blazing?" Yuuki said before they took off anyone in the near by area hit with a force of wind enough to knock them off of their feet. "What are we dealing with here? Anything I should know about before we get there and you nearly get yourself killed."

"Nothing I know that your do not. Meaning I have no clue what we are about to throw ourselves into. It might even decide to kill both of us. As like I said I was given info that it is just a trap." He said, it was one of the very rare times Scott Vernon was ever serious. There were lives on the line. And if it meant that his would be put in danger to save others, then he was gladly willing to do so.

"Oh great then. Just know I will not let you die on my watch and make myself look like a fool for allowing you to go on some suicide mission on your own. I say we radio in for help if it seems like it is only getting worse. " Yuuki said seeing that his friend was set on doing this. And until he was knocked right out of his good mind he would not stop fighting. It used to be a common occurrence that he would need to be carried home after passing out once a fight was over. 

"Yeah you do that. But I am 100% sure we can do this without a doubt. I mean we have had some bad encounters. And look at us now. We look great buddy." He said laughing as they came into view of the destructive beast. "Here we go. No time to back out now. Cover me while I beat out his defense. See how we can crack this big guy down." He said launching himself farther as Yuuki fell back on the count. He watched closely. He watched as Scott launched himself into the fray of yet another life determining battle. Not a hero saving a ladies purse. No he was being the hero who stopped the life of that poor innocent women passing on the street from ending. He was being the one that was pictured in the Newspaper. And get the good publicity. For being human. Completely human. And not Edge. As Yuuki found himself to be. He tended to avoid the lime light of being called out in front of the camera. 

Being an Edge in the life light brought no good. To know that he was with Scott as well. He would never live down the guilt of being his downfall. Both him and Nicole got away with being some of the bravest guardians. As it was started by edge to take care of those gone wrong in order to restore their names. And the names of their children and family. And quite frankly. Because someone had to do it. And this was not something the cops could come and say 'Stop police'.

All these thoughts ran through his head as he watched the other. Moving building to building as he made sure to keep an eye on Scott. Who had already taken and dealt a considerable amount of damage. it was easy to see the boy was gifted with some sort of uncanny strength. "One of these days he is going to get himself killed." 

Then like a shot was fired, most likely because it was. A bullet whizzed by and clipped the giant in a soft pallet and he lost balance and the punch Scott sent it's way toppled it over giving him a chance to do more than punch at it. Though Yuuki had more pressing matter at hand as two oncoming figures came into sight. Both of them seemed serious though the girl had a smug look on her face similar to that of Scott's when he went roaring into battle. 

He turned himself to the two coming in. The girl vanishing into thing air. But not before they were close enough that he could see the two of them were very similar in that they both sported wheat blonde hair topped by very cat resembling ears. If he had to guess they were edge and this was part of their curse in some way. His first thought was the trap. And then he saw the boy had his pistols trained on him. With a very focused intent. Before he shot off. However the bullet one more passed him in favour of the beast. So it was either a trick, bad aim. Or deadly good aim. It did not matter what it was. He was going down. Along with the girl who may or may not have already gotten pass him. 

"Scott. I've got two Edge. One female might becoming your way. I'm dealing with the male. Sharp shooter it seems. Please be on the look out for anything that moves." He said the small device he had placed in his ear before walking out the tea shop that morning ready to go on patrol being put to good use. "She's got some sort of cloaking ability. And I did not catch if she had any weapons. Over."  he waited for a response back from the other and got nothing but silence.  The slight tune of static as he listened to close. Not letting the shooter out of his line of sight. His advancement never seeming to end made Yuuki a bit more on the cautious side.  His stance ready to fight should something go wrong. Still looking back seeing Scott still fighting he was glad it was probably the other over doing it and not answering not him being dead.

"Hey- What was that about a girl? I have got something moving on my right..." He heard in his ear all at once. "Is it friendly? Cause even if not I can not do anything about it. This thing keeps my attention. If I look away I will be crushed." He said over the mic. The proof was the following struggled grunts and scrapes.

"I can not say yet. I am dealing with the other right now. They are advancing with the time passing. I am hoping they are friendly. But do remember that we were told we could be put into a trap." Yuuki reminded him. "Keep your guard up at all times until I figure this out."

"Okay roger that." He said before the sound of loud rushing air cut. 

The race against time was on. Who would realize who was who first?
