{The next Day}
Erika's pov
Jake sets up his laptop on the table.
Erika: Okay So Tell me when you're ready for me to come over
Jake: Okay
Shannon sets up a g7x to the laptop. She gets her camera ready.
Erika: So Shannon can you make sure that she doesn't see you?
Shannon: Okay
Erika: Great
Jake: She's calling!
I sit on the kitchen counter facing Jake. He takes a deep breath and answers.
Jake: Hey Mom!
Pam: Hey Jakey! Is everything okay?
Jake: Yeah Everything's Fine
Pam: Where are you?
Jake: Not important but I do have to tell you something, well we have to tell you something.
Pam: We?
He waves me over. I walk over and sit next to him.
Erika: Hey Pam
Pam: Oh hi Erika, how are you?
Erika: Good thanks, how are you?
Pam: Great, I'm just a little confused.
Jake: 3...2...1
J&E: You're gonna be a grandma!
Pam: What?! Y-you're pregnant?! *smiles*
Jake: She is
Pam: Oh my gosh guys!
She starts crying.
Jake: oh and it's twins
Pam: Two?! Oh my gosh! Congratulations!
I rest my arm on Jakes shoulder.
Pam: Can I see your bump? How far along are you?
Erika: 5-6 weeks
I stand up and pull the chair out. I lift my shirt up.
Pam: Awwwe that's so cute! I thought y'all were pranking me!
Erika: Nope there's very much Twins in there, we have had our first appointment and we heard the heartbeat and we have our first ultrasound next week!
Pam: Awwwe I'm honestly so happy for you guys.
Jake: Thank you mom
Erika: Thanks Pam
We talk for a little longer.
Jake: We Bette go Mom, we've gotta call Angel.
Pam: Okay, Bye!
Erika: ily!
Pam: ily!
Jake: ily!
I laugh. They hang up.
Erika: She took that very well
Jake: Yeah, What Do you think your mom will do?
Erika: She'll come off as happy but she'll be a little disappointed and confused.
Jake: Why disappointed?
Erika: Because I had so many plans for this year, but I mean I am old enough. It's a little different for you though.
Jake smiles.
Erika: She's calling!
Jake jumps up and Shannon starts rolling again.
Erika: Hi Mom
Angel: Hey Erika
Erika: Is Dan around?
Angel: Yeah let me see if I can find him, Dan!!!
Dan: What?!
Angel: Erika's on the phone! I think his coming.
Erika: Okay
After a few seconds Dan sits down next to my mom.
Dan: Hey sweetie
Erika: Hi Dan
Angel: Everything's Okay right Erika?
Erika: Yes Everything is quite amazing actually. Kind of like a dream.
Angel: There's something you need to tell us?
Erika: Actually we need to tell you
Jake sits next to me.
Jake: Hey Angel, Dan
Angel: Oh hi Jake
Dan: Hi Jake
My moms facial expression changes since I can tell she's catching on. I look at Jake and he smiles.
Jake: *whispers* You say it
Erika: I'm pregnant
A tear falls from my eye. Jake puts his arm around me. I smile and wipe my tear.
Dan: Oh my gosh guys Congratulations!
Angel: You're gonna have a baby?!
Jake: Babies.
Angel: Twins?!
I nod.
Angel: Congratulations!
Erika: Thank you!
Jake: Thanks!
Erika: Oh and you can't tell anyone! You guys are coming down in a few weeks and I'll tell everyone then.
Angel: What about the internet, they don't even know you two a together!
Erika: Well we might do a Kylie Jenner, not sure yet. I don't want to stress over it and it would be so much less stress if I never announced!
Angel: I know you guys will make the right decision.
Dan: You're both very smart and know what you're doing.
