deluded; the little mermaid

"I don't wanna meet him, Cal." The little girl mumbles to her older brother, who was holding her in his arms.
"Why not, Bee?" Calum hums softly, the thirteen year-old says, looking at his younger sister, the two of them standing outside one of his friends houses.
"I don't wanna meet your fwiends!" The child raises her voice slightly, glaring at her brother. "You only bwought me because mummy said you had to babysit-ed me."
He lets out a sigh and rubs the small girls back gently. "I promise you'll love him, and he'll love you back because you're just too adorable to not love." Calum speaks, reassuring Blake.
Before the child could get anymore words out, the door opens, revealing slightly cubby, pale kid with blond hair, and blue eyes. Blake slightly squeals and buries her head in her older brothers neck, hoping that if she can't she him, the boy wouldn't be able to see her. However, she was too young to realize that that's not quite how things worked.
"She thinks you can't see her." Calum mouths to his friend, who gives him a slight look, before shrugging it off, and invites him into his home.
"Mum and Dad are at work, and my brothers are out as well, so it's just us two in the house." Luke leads the way to his room, Calum and his sister following.
"He can't see me, wight?" The little girl whispers to Calum, who whispers a "no" back.
Blake peaks slightly, raising her head from the tan boys neck. Her eyes scan the room, which was slightly messy, and had band posters littering the light gray walls. Of course the small child didn't know what was on the posters, due to her only being the age of five.
She catches the eyes of Luke and lets out a small gasp, before burying her head back into the neck of her brother, scared that the blond had seen her.
Luke can't help but look at the small child in his best mates arms and smile softly. His eyes scan over her small body, falling on her shirt. His smile widens as he sees the familiar red-headed mermaid on it. That's when an idea pops into his head.
"I sure wish I had someone to watch The Little Mermaid with, because I know you sure won't."
At this, the girls eyes widen, and she lifts her head up, slowly meeting the eyes of Luke. "The Wittle Mermaid?" Her voice is soft, scared of the boy in front of her. "You like that movie too?"
Cal and Luke grin.
"Of course I do, it's one of my favorites." He walks over to his bookshelf, scanning the wide variety of movies. "She's my favorite Princess."
Blake lets out a gasp, her eyes lifting up with excitement. "She's my favorite Pwincess too!" She struggles in Cal's grip, wanting to be set down. Fortunately, her brother catches on and carefully places her on the floor.
"Can we watch it?" The girl looks up at Luke's not so tall frame, which ironically is much taller than hers. Her hands are clasped together as she waits for his response.
"Of course, Princess."
She grins, and runs over to his bed, clumsily climbing up. Little did either one of them know, this was the beginning of one of the most unusual friendships.
