ACACIA P.O.V

'Welcome to Cabin 9!' Leo announces happily. 

'It's dustier than last time.' I cough

He blushes.

'Yeah, I didn't have time for spring cleaning.'

'I'll do it for you later.' I voulenteer.

'And that, Mrs Valdez, is why I love you.'

'Mrs Valdez?' I grin liking the sound of that.

'Yeah.' He says rubbing his neck nervously.

'Are you going to show me what's under the cloth?' I say hugging him from behind.

He chuckles and lifts the sheet to reveal two metal bracelets.

'What are they?'

'Well, Percy has an empathy link with Grover (a saytr). It alows them to talk to each other using their minds. I wanted to recreate that ability without a using the powers of a woodland creature, and I've done it! Partially...'

'Oh Gods Leo that is awesome!' 

'You like it?'

'Yes! I love it, your so clever!'

Leo blushes and smiles at me.

'Lets get started Princess.'

He instructs me on what to do. But I wasn't careful and machine oil machine oil squirted all over me.

'You okay Acacia?' Leo asks worried

'Yeah I'm fine.' I laugh as I smudge the oil. 'I like getting my hands dirty. I wish you could come help me. It would be a lot faster.'

'No, I'm fine with watching you work.'

I roll my eyes and laugh at his comment.

I pick up the first bracelet wondering what I do with it.

'Now get the hammer and... No! Not like that... Ahh... Let me help.'

Leo comes up from behind me and guides my hands. I blush.

'What are you doing?'

'Helping you.'

'I thought your not allowed to!'

'I'm using YOUR hands, aren't I?'

I laugh.

After a while he lets go and stands back to watch me.

'This is hard.' I mumble 'How do you do this all the time?'

He looks at me surprised.

'You can stop if it's too-'

'No! I like it.' I smile

After what seems like a few hours, I'm done. Leo claps his hands in amusement.

'Well done Princess!'

'Thanks Valdez.'

He laughs and ruffles my hair.

'Your drenched in sweat.' He realizes

I look down at myself, my skin is damp and soggy. And all of a sudden I feel tired .

'Come on, lets test these out.' Leo says, clipping a bracelet onto my wrist. He wears one too.

'I'll stand outside, you stay here.' I say

Leo nods.

'Be safe!' 

I roll my eyes as I walk outside.

Leo... come on Leo, can you hear me? Leo? I say telepathicaly.

Keep saying my name Acacia, I like it when you do that. I picuture him grinning.

I blush. 

It's working!

Of course it is!

Leo your a genius!

Aww.. thanks Princess.

Do I come back inside?

Yeah, you wanna keep the bracelet?

I barge through the door.

'Are you serious Leo?' I yell in shock

'Woah, why so loud? And yeah, I'm serious.'

'Oh my Gods! Leo this is the nicest thing anyone ever gave to me! I love you to tartarus and back!' I say flinging my arms around his neck, causing him to stumble backwards.

'That's a lot of love.' He grins 

I kiss him full on the lips and pull away for some air.

'Thank you so much! Your the best boy friend ever!' 

He doesn't move.

'Leo? Leo!' I say waving my hand in his face.

'I think you broke me Princess.' He whispers.

I laugh and he kisses me back.

'Love you more than you love me.'

'Is that a challenge?' I ask giving him a sideways grin.

'Maybe. Come on' He says taking my hand and kissing it lightly.

I flush and he smiles.

'Camp activities for you young lady.'

'What about you?'

'I'm going back to the Cabin to ponder over some things.'

'Meet me later?' I plead.

'Sure Princess.' He laughs as we walk side by side towards the Cabins.

But even then, something isn't right, the atmosphere is too tense. Leo is hiding something from me. Something every important...
