Goodbye Best Friend

Chapter 2

She stared at me like I was crazy. "What is it?" she asked, fear in her voice.

She sat down next to me. "Listen. I have to move." Kaylin looked at me with her big blue eyes and her brown hair on her shoulders. "To London."

I automatically saw tears form in her eyes. "What? Why?" she asked.

"My mom's boyfriend. He would beat the hell out of me. I decided to tell the school. So, the principal called the cops. And, the detective told me I have to move with my dad 'cos I can't be around him anymore. We only have 5 minutes to say goodbye." Tears we're rolling down our faces. I pulled her in for a hug. She shoved her head into my chest. I pulled out my phone and played the song Forever Young by One Direction. We we're major Directioners; that's what we most had in common.

We we're still hugging when the part of the song sang, "Forever young, I wanna be forever young. Do you really wanna live forever, forever, and ever?" I pulled back from her. Tears we're flowing down her soft cheeks. "I am so sorry, Kaylin. You know I love you."

"I love you, too." she replied. My throat was feeling dry and I felt like I was choking on my words. I pulled her in for another hug. "MooMoo hugs...I will miss them."

I had tears running down my face. I pulled back, again. I looked in her damaged red eyes. "I will miss you." I was trembling badly. My whole body shook.

"But," KayKay began. "i just can't say goodbye."

"Then, let's not say goodbye." I said. "Let's just say...I'll see you later." I put a small smile on my face.

She put a small smile on her face. "But...when will I see you again?"

I sat down in the chair. I placed my elbows on my knees and put my head in my hands. "I...I don't know." I took a big breath of air.

Kaylin sat next to me and put her hand on my back. "What if your neighbors with One Direction?"

I looked up at her. I chuckled a little bit. I went back to crying 'cos I was standing here, with my best friend, telling her I'm moving away from her. I am in so much pain.

I heard a knock on the door. "2 minutes girls!" the detective shouted through the door.

"Shit...." I said. I stood up. "I'll call you tonight."

"I'll be waiting."

"I love you, Twinsy." I pulled her in for another hug.

She put her head on my shoulder and said, "I love you, too."

We let go and she walked away from me. I felt like my heart was tearing to shreds. She walked out the door. The detective walked back in the room. "We should go get your things." I nodded as I stood up and slung my bag over my shoulder. My mom was already there so I had to ride in the cop car. It was scary to watch my only world disappear in the distance.

I kissed my fingers and put them to the window and whispered, "I love you, Kaylin. 5Ever and paulways." and we drove off.
