tw, attempted suicide

-

uraraka, 9:58

the brown eyed girl began to run after ashido, swiftly picking up the bag of snacks they had gotten. but she couldn't catch up to the now-running mina. she slowed, giving up on the chase, and looked down. tears flowed as she sank to the ground in the middle of the park sidewalk. she was silent, she was hurt.

ochaco truly cared for ashido, so why did it have to be this way?

she sat in defeat a little while longer, maybe five minutes, but it felt like centuries. uraraka eventually wiped the tears and began the short walk to ua grounds. she was only a block away when she called mina's best friend since middle school, kirishima eijiro, in a panic. ochaco stood still in the middle of the sidewalk, waiting for kirishima to pick up. when he finally did, uraraka sighed in relief.

"hiya broaraka, that nickname's a work in progress..." he laughed when he picked up.

"OH MY GOODNESS I MESSED UP BIG TIME WITH MINA!!!!" ochaco yelled into the phone, fanning her eyes as if that would stop the panic tears.

"woah, woah, calm down. what happened? and just, take deep breaths." he advised, not wanting to hear his friend cry.

"well," she took a deep breath and held the phone close to her, "she kissed me and i didn't kiss back and then she ran away and i didn't say anything and she probably thinks i hate her now! she was so open about her dad and stuff and i just don't want her to-"

kirishima interrupted there.

"hey, calm down. think of your favorite color and take a deep breath. you didn't mess up, you panicked. tomorrow is the weekend, so talk to her then. she's gonna be fine, don't worry."

"thank you, thank you so much," she says, beginning to take slow steps again.

"anytime, now, i gotta go before denki murders me for not watching mean girls with him. bye bro!" he hangs up, leaving ochaco walking alone again.

when she reached her dorm room, she screamed into her pillow and cried just a little more. maybe eijiro's advice didn't hold up so well.

ashido, 10:23

to say mina wasn't holding up well was an understatement.

as she looked at her room, now all destroyed. melted and ripped and burnt, she only had one thought.

'how?'

she didn't know.

she didn't know anything.

and so mina ashido, supposed future pro hero, went off to find the full bottle of sleeping pills.

so she could sleep forever.

why stay awake?

old friends forgetting her.

new ones now hating her.

family in shambles.
