Jake woke up to a song blasting from his alarm/radio. He yawned and headed to the kitchen for breakfast. He had nearly forgotten the other day when...
"So how'd you sleep?"
"Ack!" Screeched Jake. "Don't scare me like that." He sighed. "Oh, sorry." Kurt replied.  "I slept well, how about you? Do ghosts even sleep?" Jake mused out loud. "I mean, we don't need to but we can." Kurt answered thoughtfully. "So, what's that?" He gestured to the TV above the coffee table in the living room. "Um, that's a TV." Jake replies. "Oh yeah, you died in like, 1989. Stuff has changed a lot since then." He pulled up a video on the Apple TV titled 'The Evolution of Technology since the 1980s.' there's a YouTube video for everything. "Watch that." He told Kurt. That should explain stuff.
He was nearly finished with the pancakes when he heard the screen door slam. "Hey Jake." He heard Rich call out to him. "Oh, hey Rich. I didn't realize you were already awake. Where'd you go?" He asked. "I jutht went for a jog." Rich nodded towards the pancakes. "Are thothe for me?" He joked. "Some of them." Replied Jake with a chuckle. "We're not repeating the Waffle Incident." He jokingly shuddered. Rich gestured to the TV, and Jake noticed that Kurt was nowhere to be seen. "Just watching some educational stuff before school tomorrow." He reasoned. "I didn't know you were thuch a nerd." Rich joked. "Oh, shut up." He hugged Rich from the side and suddenly felt the urge to plant a kiss on his cheek. What the hell was that? Jake thought. He brushed it off and after serving Rich pancakes, which he gobbled up like he hadn't eaten in years. Rich excised himself and headed upstairs. Jake could swear he saw something follow him but decided he must have imagined it. "Kurt, you can come out now..." he called.
Kurt came out from behind the couch, blushing red. "I saw Ram." He called out, obviously exited. "He was with your friend Rich." "Well why didn't you say hi?" Jake asked. "What if he doesn't remember me or doesn't want to see me?" Kurt stressed. "Listen to me." Jake looked Kurt in the eyes. "He's your best friend. He won't forget you, and of course he'll be exited to see you. Go talk to him." Jake wasn't used to the whole, motivation thing, but it seemed to work because Kurt smiled and stood up straighter. (Hehe, straight, Kurt. That's funny.)
"I'm gonna talk to him." He said, confidence written all over his face. Jake felt a flush of pride at making Kurt feel confident like that.
