"Hey Jake." called Rich from his room.
"Are you okay?" replied Jake, rushing to the room.
"Relax, I'm fine, I just wanted to talk to you." Rich laughed.
"Oh, okay." Jake sat down on the bed.
"You ever wonder about Kurt and Ram?" asked Rich thoughtfully.
"Kind of. I mean, they told us they pissed off the wrong crazy dude and his girlfriend and got shot, nothing else..." Jake trailed off.
"They altho thaid they were bad people." Rich added.
"They told us when they died, and it had to have been around here. Why don't we look it up?" Jake suggested, already typing it into his phone. "Here it is, there's a news article: 'Kurt Kelly and Ram Sweeney-" he stopped and gasped. "Gay Lovers Who Killed Themselves To Save Their Love From Judging Eyes' what is this?!" Jake clicked on the article, shocked. It went on and on, and linked to several dozen articles on the string of suicides and suicide attempts at Westerburg High School. "They were popular, on the football team, might've been bullies, but how bad of people could they have been? And I thought they said they were shot, this says they shot themselves." Jake marveled. "And their dads... wow, their dads got married and went on to advocate for LGBT+ rights, they even created Love Each Other {I made that up IDK if it's real} isn't that why you came out in the first place?" he asked Rich.
"Well yeah, but that didn't go tho well" Rich joked halfheartedly.
"Well why didn't they tell us everything about all of- all of this and is it true and I have so many questions." Jake rambled. And then, as if called by some outside force {the author} Ram and Kurt entered. They had been listening in for quite some time and proceeded to explain exactly what went on and why they insisted that they were bad people.
{and then the author ends the chapter bc there's gonna be some drama and some gaaaayyyy tomorrow and she should probably sleep}
