CHAPTER 18 - HIS DARK AND UNEXPRESSIVE EYES

It was morning and I stormed to the personal laboratory room of Master Luke.

"Is it true, Master!?" I asked him.

He was sitting on his usual desk writing with several books and papers sprawled across his table. A large hologram screen was at his side which he uses once in a while.

"Yes?" Master Luke looked at me confusingly.

"Da-Daiki... Daiki Garianne of the Stripz." I breathed out. "You experimented on him?"

Master Luke just stared at me.

I also stared him back. I was perspiring.

I read everything.

I now know what Daiki said was true.

But I still cannot believe it.

Master Luke stood up and he started to walk towards me.

I still cannot accept everything.

The way that man was experimented earlier. I heard his screams.

Then Master Luke with his poker face.

He did that to Daiki also??

"Master was it all true??!!" I again asked him. I was getting furious.

Master Luke was in front of me now and he was looking at me expressionless.

"You went to the prohibited area of the lab."

It was not a question at me. He just stated a fact.

I just answered him with my eyes.

"You shouldn't have done that." His eyes started to look dark.

"Master... Luke??" I asked him.

As if... He became a different person.

Suddenly I felt a pain to my neck.

It was an injection and I saw that the injection came from Master Luke who was still looking at me with firm eyes.

"Ma-master...??" I drifted to sleep.

The only last sensation I felt were the hands of Master Luke at my back embracing me within his chest.

I heard voices.

Familiar voices who are also members of the Headhunts.

I still kept my eyes closed and just felt my surroundings. I was lying on a bed. But the bed was cold and hard.

"But what is up?" Another man's voice was heard. "He has been the favorite of Master Luke. Why is he being confined here in the laboratory?"

"I don't know." The earlier man's voice was heard. "I think he did something wrong. Fujin is an important asset you know. He cannot know the truth."

"About what?" Answered the other man. "The assimilation?"

I heard a sigh from the other man. "There was a..."

Beep beep beep...

"Calling all scientists to room 11. Please proceed immediately."

There was an announcement heard all over the place.
