CHAPTER 23 - THE CURE

"My dear!! You came back." Master Luke was at his laboratory table. He smiled at me innocently. He set down the papers he was reading and stood up.

I just stared at him.

"Now where is our Supremus!!??" Haru shouted at my side.

Mir was also beside me at standby mode.

"Ah!! This way!! This way!!" Master Luke clasped his hands. He went to my side and put his arms at my waste. "Follow me." He beckoned us to follow him.

We went further inside his laboratory. "Daiki is resting quite well." He continued to talk. He led the way.

In front of a certain room, he pressed a button which examined his fingerprint. The machined sliding door opened and we saw Daiki hanged from a wall. There was a glass separating us from him. He was inside a room full of lights and is just surrounded by iron walls with colors of gray and some fluorescent parallel lights of three embedded on every wall.

His arms and ankles were bounded by metal chains attached to a wall. He was looking down. But he looks different.

He has wolf ears just above his head. He has also a furry tail hanging from his lower back. His nails are long and colored black. He looks drained and lifeless. He was bare-chested and his pants was hanging just above his pelvis. Blood was dripping from his mouth and nose.

"Daiki!!" I went to him but I felt an injection from my neck.

I knelt to the floor. I looked up at Master Luke who was just standing and smiling at me.

"Supremus!!"

At the corner of my eyes. I saw Haru shouting.

BAANNGG!!

Blood spurred from the left side of the head of Haru. He was shot by some people at his back.

"HARRUUU!!" I cried out as he fell down on the floor lifeless.

Mir was also struggling and trying to fight the sudden ambush to us.

"M-Master Luke..." I was trying to keep my consciousness. "Stop this... already..."

Master Luke knelt down in front of me. He gently lifted my chin and gently gave me a peck on my lips. "My dear, don't worry. You are still my favorite."

When I came to, I found myself inside the room with Daiki. He was still the same as what I saw earlier. As if he was really looking like a half-wolf already. I was also bounded by my metal chains on my wrists. And we are facing each other.

"Daiki!" I called over him as my chains rattled.

"Oh my dear. Don't worry, he is not dead." I heard the voice of Master Luke.

I looked at my left and saw him standing alone beyond the glass wall separating us.

"I can't believe, Master Luke, you are not like this."

Master Luke laughed. He looked like the normal Master Luke to me.

"Please Master, stop this. Everything..." I again tried to cajole him.

"My dear, I heard that you saw Bockes at that dessert place."

I just looked at him.

"I guess you knew everything now." He concluded.
