CHAPTER 27 - SORRY

Daiki stood up and started to run towards Master Luke. Master Luke also lunged forward and they crossed paths.

Daiki was able to scratch Master Luke on his front limb, but again, before our very eyes, the wound immediately closed.

We both have regeneration abilities, but I cannot deny that Master Luke's regeneration is faster than mine.

Of course, Daiki doesn't have his regeneration abilities. He started to slow in his attacks and movements. Meanwhile, Master Luke is still as agile as ever.

"Doctor Bockes, stay back." I told him.

Upon knowing that Doctor Bockes is at distance already, I started to aim one of my daggers towards and shot a long ranged aim.

Daiki was trying to stand from a tackle of Master Luke.

Chance!!

I shot the dagger. It went to the front leg of Master Luke. He cried out and stared at my way angrily.

"Come on!!" I urged at him as I got another dagger.

I readied myself as Master Luke came running towards me.

Master Luke lunged towards me and I evaded him by rolling on the ground.

Dust and cracked cement formed from the place where Master Luke pounced his paw.

I turned and braised myself at his back. I raised my hand to plunge the dagger to him but he shook hard and used his tail to get me off.

I was sent flying unto the sky. Without giving a chance to counter, Master Luke jumped towards me to attack me in the air.

But I won't let him get me.

I started to throw daggers at Master Luke.

I was able to damage his front legs and his head. Blood mixed with his brown fur but he still continuously lounged at me.

Suddenly, a gunshot was heard and Master Luke finally fell down on the floor.

Meanwhile, Daiki cushioned me in the air and we landed with me riding on top of him.

We saw that Mir was the one who shot Master Luke and Alucar was at his side.

"Doctor Bockes told us all about the details." Alucar yelled to us as he raised his own gun aiming at Master Luke.

Master Luke suddenly shrieked in a loud growl. The spots I damaged him and where Mir shot him bulged and his skin enlarged with veins seeping through it. As his wounds were like boils in the normal skin, but looks much worse.

What... The Hell...

Mir again shot Master Luke who was already in pain.

BANNGG!!

Then again the area where Mir shot developed the same characteristic. The skin area enlarged and bubbled.

"Master Luke..." I muttered. "He's mutating."

By having Daiki and my abilities, his body could have not adapted fully. He had a lot of injuries a while ago with his fight with Daiki but they were healed because of his regeneration.

His regeneration could have taken a toll already because of its continuous and rapid usage.

Enduring the pain, the brown wolf lunged towards Mir and Alucar.

Mir and Alucar simultaneously shot him but he remained unfaltered until he came close.

Alucar threw his gun away and unleashed his large sword dangling at his waist. Meanwhile, Mir continuously shot Master Luke as he just came at them.
