Chapter one: How did he know?

“Damn she’s hot” whispered by an unknown guy then followed by the word “Bitch” told by an unknown girl. Whispers became murmurs as I pass through a crowd of student. I could tell that just my presence gave a lot of impact to them how they judge me by the size of my heels, the way they look at me as I smile, even the way I blink my eyes; Was I not allowed to blink, I groaned mentally.

I’m sorry I forgot to introduce myself. The name’s Rose Campbell sixteen years old. A not so ordinary girl with fair porcelain skin; I like them actually, instead of being tanned; Slanted brown eyes, which is often mistaken to as a cat’s, paired with long lashes which curved upwardly perfect. Naturally pinkish, smooth and shiny lips that goes well with my long and thin nose. A person gifted with an angular face.  5’3 ft. in height with a slender, almost perfect body. These innocent look and a soft voice are the reason why I attract boys and sadly contrariwise girls.

Right now you’re probably sorry for me because of their discretionary act, well you shouldn’t. Actually I’m not as perfect as others think I am. I don't have a soft heart either. I have a rash mouth and I get annoyed pretty easily. I stay silent not because I'm shy or I get scared it's because all that ever cross my mind is stuff you wouldn't imagine. I'm also the type of person where I value image more than anything.

It’s been one week since the start for our school year and let me tell you this, girls evolves intensely violent through verbal yearly in our school, I narrate to myself as I went to my locker.

“I didn’t know bitches were allowed in this school” ......See? I turned to a group of girls laughing ‘then you shouldn’t be here smartass’ I thought to myself, again internally. I gave them a gentle smile mainly to annoy them more.

“Pfft what’s that? Is our princess greeting us? And what’s that smile supposed to mean?!” Proclaimed by a familiar voice.

“She really knows how to get on people’s nerves, I say” Followed by a strong stomp on the floor.

I walked away as I bowed my head letting my wavy hair cover my face, trying to hide the devilish smirk appearing in my lips. I can’t imagine how a single smile can ruin their day.

-----

‘tick, tock, tick, tock ‘ The only sound in our classroom, as heavy silence occupied the four corners of the room.

“ uuu..Uhm I’m Finished” I intentionally stuttered, trying to sound like an innocent person.

“Good, then you may take your break” Said our Math professor.

I organize my stuff, ready to leave, as others still take our surprise pop quiz. Heavy stares found themselves at me as I swiftly left the room. I gently close the door behind me when suddenly a hard slap went to my back. “ Heeyy Rose I haven’t seen you since yesterday.”

I turned to the person who attacked me by surprise. “Has it ever occurred to you that I may have been avoiding you? And by the way Ouch” I told her calmly while I slowly rub my back.

“ Pwahahah… how is it that you can keep your face like that even with harsh words coming out of your mouth?” she replied to me with a grin on her face.

Oh she’s Bailey Hughens if you’re wondering. She’s the only person existing in this planet who ever seen slash known the real Rose Campbell. And when you find yourself down you’ll surely smile after hearing her lame jokes, trust me it’s funny in a way.

I looked at her and said “Will you annoy me to death again?” I asked.

“Of course not” She replied as she kept her pace to mine.
