Go on holiday they said, it will be fun they said.
And now I'm standing at the airport with 8 different suitcases with hand luggage waiting for my friends to come back from the bathroom. I've been standing here for twenty minutes and all I can hear are laughs from afar. They aren't leaving me out, I volunteered  to take care of the bags. However, I didn't know it would take hours. I reached into my bag and took out a bag of crisps, which are probably dust now considering they were under all my camera equipment. I open the bag and a cloud of tangy cheese hits my noise, making my eyes water. I don't remember them being that strongly flavoured, probably because they have all that artificial shit crammed into them. I waited, and waited for what seemed like hours until they all came stumbling back out the bathrooms towards me. A giggling heap. Considering there is nothing numerous about a bathroom I had an immense amount of questions that at this point I already had no intention of asking. I already knew the answers I would receive would be in gibberish, not being able to understand a word.

We strolled through the airport, window shopping and raising duty free, with James trying to find anything weird and creative to do a review on, or something inspirational. We shopped for a few hours before our flight, we were there so early because 'on time is too late' according to James and so here we are at LAX at 3AM, our flight at 7AM. 4 hours to kill and a shit load of shops.

By the end of the first hour we were all in a heap in the perfume section, exhausted and dying from laughter. For a moment I had forgotten what it was like to not have a care in the world other than my friends. Being with them is like a weight lifting from my shoulders. I guess they were right I really needed this holiday. As a way to get over Noah and to start my new life with Ian.

After what seemed like hours we finally boarded the plane. I still hadn't go the faintest idea of where we are going as soon as we bordes they blindfolded me and started to play music in my headphones so I couldn't hear the destination. They all knew where we were going except from me. For some reason, surprising Ivy is the new thing.

I hate not knowing where I'm going or what's going to happen. It's like a dark shadow that presses down on you. That feeling that runs down your spine when you don't feel safe. Yet, I feel completely safe. But still these waves of anxiety rush through me.

The flight seemed long and lasted forever. We ordered food on the plane and sat in the first class lounge the entire time.

When we had finally landed, we stepped out of the plane into one of those tunnels that connected the plane to the airport. A wave of cold air slapped me across the face. Ah, the UK. I turned to look around, the landscape of London and cities dotted around the airport. I was trying to figure out which airport.

Heathrow.

We got our bags and jumped into the taxi that took us into the heart of London where it dropped us off outside an apartment building. We walked into the lobby, greeted by doormen and workers gossiping and gleaming with fake smiles. Once we received our room key we all crammed ourselves into the elevator, pressing the top button as we were staying in the penthouse.

The room was beautiful, large windows from top to bottom unveiling the city of London. The shard, gherkin, London eye and the tip of Big Ben. It was at this point I informed the group that Big Ben is actually the name of the largest bell in the clock rather than the clock itself (this is actually true, look it up). They stared at me in awe.

"How do you know all this stuff?" Asked Ian.

"I did live here for 17 years. It's my hometown, where I was born and raised." I reply warmly. Being back in London was like a huge hug. Just being surrounded by things I love and cherish from childhood was enjoyable.

As all my friends had never been here I thought it would be the perfect chance to take them into London on a night out. As the legal drinking age is 18 here.

I've never been more excited to go out clubbing in my life. We got ready and got an Uber to the club. We got in and sat down in a VIP booth that James had booked online earlier. We got our drinks and just started to chat and drink and drink and chat. When a firm hand gripped my shoulder. I turned round in shock to see none other than.....
