Today was the day that Kato and (Y/n) decided to leave the cabin and find somewhere else to stay. They gathered their things and Headed deeper into the forest. They kept walking and walking until they saw a clearing. The forest they were in led out into the city as they went to enter the city they saw a sign that read ¨Now entering Vale¨ the two looked at each other then headed into the city. The first thing to happen as they got into the city was a store heist. The two then decided to try and help but as they approached the store a guy came flying through the window followed by a girl in a red hood.

(thoughts) ¨Hmm this could be bad it seems like a Grimm has made it into the city but it isn't attacking anybody and it seems to be attached to that Faunus over there ill just finish these guys up quickly then start asking questions.¨

Kato gets into a battle stance and waits for the men that surrounded him to attack. The men took one glance at (Y/n) and took off running then all of the thugs retreated. Kato and (Y/n) are left looking around in confusion trying to understand what just happened. the girl in the red hood aproches Kato and extends her hand
Ruby: ¨Hi there im Ruby Rose what's your name?¨
Kato:¨I-its kato nice to meet you Ruby.¨ he says as he shakes her hand.
Ruby:¨and whats your name?¨ she says pointing at (Y/n).
(Y/n):¨its (Y/n) nice to meet you.¨
Ruby:¨WAIT IT CAN TALK???¨ she says surprised.
(Y/n) and Kato look at each other in confusion then back to Ruby.
(Y/n):¨yeah I can talk and im a girl not a it.¨
Ruby:¨sorry if i made you mad ive just never seen a Grimm that can talk.¨
(Y/n) and Kato look at each other in confusion again.
Kato:¨What is a Grimm?¨
Ruby:¨youve never seen a Grimm before what have you been living under a rock? here let me bring you with me to beacon academy im sure prof. Ozpin will let you become students.¨
with that she grabbed Kato and (Y/n) dragging them along back to beacon. When they got there they Knocked on the door to Ozpins office.
Ozpin:¨Enter miss Rose.¨
with that said Ruby, Kato, and (Y/n) entered ozpins office.
Ruby:¨Prof. Ozpin i think you would like to have these two in your school the faunus is Kato the girl that looks like a Grimm in (Y/n).¨
Kato tilts his head to the side at the word faunus.
Kato:¨Whats a faunus?¨
ozpin:¨its a person who has one characteristic of a animal.¨
Kato:¨Then im not a faunus because i have two characteristics of a cat.¨ as he says that he flicks his tail and his ears twitch.
Ozpin looks at this with his head tilted then finally spoke.
Ozpin:¨Fine these two can join beacon but they have to be in Team RWBY and theyll stay in your dorm too.¨
with this said Ruby grabbed Kato and (Y/n) and rushed to their dorm. After that day Kato and (Y/n) have been training to become a huntsman and a huntress. Kato has stayed by (Y/n) the whole time becoming stronger so he can protect her and never let anything happen to her.
