Puck is quiet in the car and I am surprised when she interlinks her fingers in mine laying them on the console between us. She was fiesty and frustrating; half the time I didn't know what was going through her mind. She was broken and confusing and so alive and so real. And such a pain in the ass, God I was so in love with her.
She leans her head against the window turning up the song on the radio and singing, "I pray for you." By Jaron & The Long Road to Love.
I didn't know she could that good. I listen quietly, smiling to myself as I drive us home the long way so I could listen to her sing. Rain starts to pour down on the wind sheild and I turn on the wind shield wipers. Puck yawns and I feel how tired she is.
I hesitate to ask her why she didn't come to me last night. She was content; best not to ruin it. "Want to do homework together?"
She slides her eyes over to me, "I suck at math don't be expecting much effort, there. Unless you want to see tears of frustration and hear alot of cussing." At least she was honest.
"I'm sure I can handle one of your tantrums." I smirk.
She smacks my arm with her free hand. "I don't throw tantrums." I give her a look and try not to grin at her cute glare.
"Uh, yes you do. Violent ones at that." She snaps her teeth at me and my stomach tingles with butterflies.
The song Heartbreaker by Pat Benetar comes on and Puck surprises me by pulling off my hat, whipping her hair around and singing the song at me.
"You're the right kind of sinner to release my inner fantasy!" I bite my lip giving her a look at this part and she ignores me throwing her body across the seat ..."You're a...heartbreaka..." I couldn't help it I whipped into the driveway, put the car in park and pulled Puck across the seat smashing my mouth against hers.
I expected to get slapped, yelled at, resisted. I did not expect Puck to kiss me back with an intensity that surprised me. She pressed her chest against mine pushing me back and clasped a hand in my hair, resting the other over my rapidly beating heart. I squished her against my chest locking an arm around her back and burying the other in her hair. I didn't dare go farther than a kiss.
Puck nipped at my bottom lip and I groaned. She was killing me. She sighs and releases me. We're both breathing hard and pumping with want and need.
Her cheeks are pink and her hair is poofed up her chest rising and falling rapidly the look in her stormy eyes dark and full of lust, I'm sure I have the same look in my eyes.
"Puck." I breathe and that's all I have to say. She crawls over pressing her mouth against mine lightly. The ghost of a kiss I am suddenly craving terribly. Then she opens my door so I nearly tumble out. I grip the seat with wide eyes and she laughs, her stormy eyes full of mischief.
"You wretched." I joke.
"Manwhore."
"Cotton headed ninny muggins."
"Neo maxi zune dweebie."
"Let's do homework at my house," I insist still breathing heavy.
"Okay." she says taking my hands and sighs when I carry the baby carseat for her.
