Ok before I start this next chapter I just need to get something straight. For any of you who are super confused because the chapters keep switching the point of view with no explanation, that's because the chapters alternate. First it was Destiny, then it was Lila. It goes back and forth. But this is just a heads of that I'm going to be bringing a new character in. (Probably in this chapter actually) and then the chapters will go as follows: Destiny, Lila, mystery person, and repeat. So please remember that because I just don't want to start each chapter with: "Lila's Pov". So anyway, read on my lovelies!

I stared in horror at the red spotted earth before me. Lila was silent next to me.

"There's no way..." I whispered.

"This is why we need to shut down the virus," spoke Meghan Foster, head if science department. "We believe that there is a machine. We think... and again, these are only guesses right now, but we have reason to believe someone is injecting the virus into innocent bodies, and controlling them through radio signals!" Meghan hesitated, looking at Elyjah, asking an unspoken question with her eyes. Elyjah nodded. She stood, and proceeded towards the front of the room. A projector lot up from somewhere in the back wall, and the screen behind her began to glow. When the picture came into focus, I bit my tongue to stifle a scream. Lila gasped next to me.

On the screen was a woman. But I was not a woman. It's was a monster. Her eyes were rolled back into her head. Fangs poked out from behind her blood stained lips. Her fingernails were claws, and caked with blood. I looked away. I felt Dess grab my hand, and intertwine her fingers with mine. Meghan changed the slide, and suddenly there was a satellite view of Japan. The red dots filled almost every crack and crevice in the country.

"This is where they seem to be coming from," stated Meghan. The slides switched, and suddenly I was looking at Australia.

"And this is where they seem to be going." Finished Meghan. There were even more red dots there.

Dess leaned forward, and placed her head on the table. Her hand was still intertwined with mine.

"What happens when they attack people?" I asked.

Meghan hesitated.

"Tell me!" I asked, my voice sounding a bit harsher than I had planned.

"Well... they become one too."

Dess hung her head. "So your telling me that the fate of the world is now in our hands, and the thing we're fighting against is a slightly worse zombie apocalypse?!"

Meghan nodded. "We call them..." she looked at Elyjah. He nodded. She took a deep breath. "They are called... Miscreations."
