Undisputed ERA One Shots

Adam Cole/Roderick Strong (angst)

Being pregnant is somewhat both exciting and nerve wrecking and this is what Adam andRoddy are going through currently, they're expecting, they were so excited on having children of their own. Even better, they're twins. With that, they went on preparation mode for the last few months with the clothes, nursery room and the bed and all.

At certain times, Roddy was anxious if he was going to be a good father to their kids and Adam kept telling him everything Roddy needed to hear.

Until one question that left Adam stopped at his tracks. "What if I can't make it?"

Adam bit his lip, shit, he didn't notice how quiet it went, there was always that possibility of having that situation.

"No Roddy, I know you can do this, we waited years for this and.. I can't lsoe.. you, I did that once and I can't afford to lose you again, ever">

Roddy smiled as he held Adam's hand tight. "promise me whatever happens, don't ever abandon them, you got me? Call the family or friends to help you out okay?"

Adam sighed as he nodded, "I – I promise".

Later

Roddy already pushed one of the twins out and it was the boy first. "That's it baby, you got this, one more to go". As soon as Roddy let out one more push, squeezing Adam's hand to the point his fingers were broken one by one, and there she was, the last child, Roddy in his head right now thinks they should stop with having 2 kids, he doesn't want to go through this again. 

Adam was smiling ear to ear, they were so beautiful, as soon as he looked at Roddy, he noticed something different, he hasn't said anything. and his eyes were closed. "Babe? Roddy?"

Oh no, why wasn't he responding? "Doc? What's wrong with -"

"Sir, we need you to stay outside, nurse! We're losing him!"

Adam was definitely in shock as he was dragged out of the room and he didn't manage to held Roddy's hand ever again. It was then the doctors told him that Roddy had passed and it crushed Adam so hard, they had to call Britt to help calm Adam down during his tantrum, he was still in denial that Roddy was gone and then Britt called Bobby and Kyle to help her. 

It was difficult to leave Adam at that state, so they helped with him adn the kids, Adam tried his best to be much involved with the kids but it was so painful to see there was a part of Roddy that was left that he wished Roddy was there to hold him adn motivate him to be better, be a better father. He couldn't help it.... nothing hurts more than losing someone you loved for so many years.
