Chapter 9: Confrontation

Keegan's POV

Jacob was on his phone and I was just talking to Rico but the guy wasn't even paying attention. He was all focused with what Yn was doing with the girls. Looking so obvious. My man was looking like a creep, and I had to let him know that

"Bro, Rico!", I waved my hand in his face. He looked at me like that was uncalled for and I pulled him aside, away from Jacob, "You going to stop staring and listen to what I'm saying?"

He looked back over at her and then snapped out it, "Yeah, what! What was you saying Keegan?"

"Rico, we've been friends since kindergarten right?"

"Yeah... where you going with this?"

"So just be honest with me man?"

"...Yeah..."

"You won't ever get over Yn will you? Just admit it you still have feelings for the gal"

"No... psst. Cmon Keegan bro! Why would you say something stupid like that anyway?"

"Pssh, cause it's true. I mean you keep looking at her, Rico. Dude since she's come back to Ohio you haven't been yourself. You walk around like you have a chip on your shoulder!"

He screwed his face up, "What are you talking about? What have I told you, Keegan! I'm over her, I'm over all that"

I gave him a look like, 'Cmon now. Stop lying'

He sighed, "Aight aightt!!.... I guess🙄... I guess I still have feelings for her"

"Thank youuu!... Now all I saying is this. Jacob is on the phone right now. If he catches you staring at his wife to be? God knows, dude might flip. If he does, I have your back but tbh If I was Jacob and I saw some dude watching my woman, friend or not, I'd beat his ass"

"Alright. Thanks for the lecture, Keegan man!", He slapped my tummy and walked off

"Bru—... Rico! Whe... where are you going man?!", I followed him

Yn's POV

I was just normally having a conversation with Ashanti and Jasmine but I could feel eyes on me and turned to see Rico staring at me. Keegan was talking to him but it didn't look like he was listening to him. I was a little thrown off a bit. It got the creepy vibes. Obviously I didn't make it obvious that I could see him cause if I did, everyone would realise what's going on. Actually. I've had ENOUGH quite frankly with all this sneakiness. I don't want to be playing this game with him. I'm about to be married with my husband, Jacob, and Rico, is making me feel soo UGHH I don't even know. Uncomfortable. I'm just gonna set this straight, once and for all. We are grown ups here and I'm going to handle my own like the grown woman I am. My plan was to get address him when he is by himself and everybody is busy talking to each other

So from there, me and girls went to different shops for dresses, to look for, whilst the guys went somewhere else, god knows. The plan was to meet up back at the same bench in like an hour or so. So we looked around and tried on some dresses and heels throughout that time when their heads turned I took the opportunity and snuck away and went to go find Rico and the boys.

Thank god, I finally found them after 10 mins of searching through the shopping centre and found Rico ALONE!! YESS!! But Keegan and Jacob were at the other end of the store. Hopefully they don't catch us because the store is huge. He was on his phone, and I quickly snuck in. I snuck up, creeping up towards him, and grabbed him by his arm. He shook when he realised it was me, and I pulled him out the store

"What is WRONG with you? What do you think your playing at?"

"What the f—... What are you talking about?", he screwed up his face

"Ughh cut it, don't play games with me, Rico! I see you, spying on me, here and there but you want to get all awkward every time we meet. Is there a problem or isn't there a problem? Cause I really don't know what to think right now. You just make things 10x times more worse. Your either really awkward and wanna avoid giving me a proper greeting or your somewhere spying on me like so damn creep!! What kind of shit is that?!"

He sighed, and looked the other way

"Hello! I'm talking to you...", I raised my voice clicking my fingers all in his face

"I mean, what do you want me to say?", he shrugged

I scoffed impatiently, "This is exactly what I'm talking about. Now you acting like you don't care, looking else where when I'm talking to you. Like I'M giving you grief!"

"Look, just gon back to the girls, and leave me to do whatever I'm doing, alright?"

"Maybe if you pulled up your socks then I wouldn't have to pull up on you and pull them up for you, RICO!!... Look, I'm not gonna keep coming back to straighten you out, and monitor how you should act when your around me, like your some little ass child! Do I really have to monitor you? I mean seriously it's pretty embarrassing!"

"What?!", he got defensive, "You drag me out here to come and OUT ME! Are you crazy?", he raised his tone and grabbed my arm

I pulled my arm out his grip, "GET OFF ME!! And NO! but your crazy!!... See the thing is, Rico. Your waaay better than this, but I don't know so much any more. I don't know what's happened to you over years but you have fell off, BAD!... I'm about to get married and this is how your acting? Psst, grow a pair, Rico... especially for your woman, Jasmine", I gave him the dirtiest look ever and he just looked at me with pure guilt beading in his eyes
Shame that's how I feel every time he want's to be petty! Right in the heat of the moment Jacob and Keegan appear. They both looked at us confused

"Everything okay?", Jacob asked carrying his bags

I was still looking at Rico, just mad ash, "Yes, I'm fine baabyy", and I stormed right off

Jacob's POV

I didn't know what was going on but I peeped Rico outside talking to Yn. So I went to see what's going on. Like why ain't she with the girls? I asked her if everything's cool and she said everything's fine but then she stormed off  so I asked Rico, what tf's going on

"What's going on, Rico?"

"Ohh nun. She just wanted to talk about Jasmine", he stuttered

"Oh really?...", I folded my arms and looked at him cause I just felt he wasn't telling me the truth. We are supposed to be cool

Then he looked straight at Keegan and Keegan looked at me

"Aye, why you looking at Keegan for?"

"Look, everything's cool, alright bro. We are good!", he forced a smile, and we fist bumped

I was still skeptical about it all but okay...

The boys were done with their shopping and went back over to the bench to wait for the girls. Meanwhile the girls were still wasting time trying plenty of clothes

Tuesday

When Yn got home from work, she saw that Jacob's bags were packed. He came rushing down the stairs 

"Babe, what is all this? Where are you going?"

"Yn, baby, I got to go away again for a few days"

"But bab—...."

"I know bae, I know", he kissed her forehead and picks his luggage up, "But I'll be back before you know it. I've got to go now, or I might as well lose my job"
