Volume 3 Prologue: Restoring Our Broken Home

3 days later...

Me and the girls were still busy cleaning up the dungeon from Hunter's massacre. It was pretty tiring, cleaning everything up.

"Hiroki! When are we gonna be done?" Nozomi whines.

Especially for her.

"Just suck it up." I say carrying broken rubble from the ground.
"Well, at least he didn't hit the TV." Chinatsu said with relief.
"Is that really what you were most worried about?" I question with disappointment in my eyes.
"Of course, Aito-san. The TV was the most important item in this whole dungeon." Mizuha says without hesitation.

Well it's a good thing to see them recovering from the attack. Still, I'm a little disappointed to see them still being attached to the TV.

" *sob* I'm sorry, couldn't protect, you all." Ack says weeping near the graves of his fallen comrades.

I feel sorry for him. There were 158 goblins when I first came in here but now we're down to about only 60 of them. I can't help but feel as if I'm at fault here.

"Hey, Ack." I say crouching down to his level.
"Hm? Oh, dungeon keeper. What, you doing here?" He questions.
"Just checking up on you."
"I, fine."
"Are you sure? You seem-."
"I FINE!!" Ack suddenly shouts.
"... Okay, if you say so. But if you want to talk to anyone, I'm right here." I say trying to comfort him.

I leave Ack on his own and continue working.

"Aito-sama." Nakano says to call out to me.
"What's up?"
"I can sense some powerful energy near the dungeon."
"Really, where?"
"I can't say but maybe somewhere in the forests."
"Okay, I'll check it out."

I then leave the dungeon and walk into the forest. I wonder what could it be? I doubt this won't be the last time we get trouble like that Hunter guy. They can't already send reinforcements that quick can't they. I then use my Skill Read to check where the source of that power is located.

"Wow, those stats are pretty amazing."
I say with an astonished face.

The power is coming from that bush over there. I take out my knife as I slowly and carefully approached the menacing bush. I prepare for the worst and look over....

It's an unconscious little girl....

"Why does this kind of stuff keep happening to me?"

"What the hell?!" The man says as he furiously cleared the contents on the table.
"Calm down. Sheesh, you have anger issues." The other man says trying to calm him down.
"Calm down?! How can I do that when you can't even do the job properly!" He says, still enraged.
"Just have faith, I underestimated the power that dungeon keeper. Now that I know his capabilities, I'll send something that even an army can't defeat. However, you'll have to accompany it."
"I don't care, I just want that princess dead just like how her father will be."
