*Hope's pov*
Weeks passed and my relationship with Josie kept getting stronger and better. I got a little bit in trouble when I broke Rafael Waithe's hand. He grabbed Josie's ass but sadly for him I saw it. I reacted really calmly; I just broke his fingers one by one in front of the pack. Josie was proud of me for controlling myself because I could've killed him easily with no regrets.Time passed and soon it was Valentine's Day. That morning, I woke up before Josie and I decided to go make some breakfast. I decided to cook a classic breakfast. I made heart shaped pancakes with maple syrup on top. I also cut some fruits; watermelon, raspberries, blueberries, peaches and strawberries. I made coffee for myself and hot chocolate for her. When I got in my room, she was still sleeping. I put the trays on our night table and tried to wake her up. "Wake up" I said gently shaking her shoulder. She slowly opened her eyes and smiled. After a couple of minutes, she sat on the bed. "Happy Valentine's Day, my love" I said. "Happy Valentine's Day baby" she answered. "Oh I forgot, will you be my Valentine?" I asked her. "Hmm" she said rubbing her chin. I let out a giggle and she laughed. "How is that even a question? Of course" she said. I smiled and kissed her. "Are you hungry?" I asked. "Famished" she whined. I turned around and picked up her tray. "Enjoy your meal" I said giving it to her. "It's.. hmm so good" she said with her mouth full of pancakes. We ate our breakfast and talked about a lot of stuff. "It was so good" she said when she was done eating. I looked at her too see her beautiful face full of maple syrup. I don't even know how she managed to get some on her forehead. I got up and took a paper towel. I put it under water to make it wet and I rubbed all the maple syrup on her face. "You're an angel" she told me. I smiled at her and kissed her cheek. "I can't believe my dad refused to canceled everyone's classes. It's Friday after all" Josie whined. "Oh we're not going to our classes today" I said. "My dad is going to kill me" she said. "I talked to him and he said it was okay" I explained. She jumped out of bed excited. "So what are we doing?" she asked again. "It's a surprise" I told her. "Get dressed" I said. "Bring some warm clothes and let's get some snacks" I said. She looked at me with an intrigued look and nodded.
When we were ready, we got in my car. "So, are you going to tell me where we're going?" Josie asked. "No.. and put this blindfold on" I said giving her a blindfold. She put it on and smiled. "This is so mysterious" she said with an excited voice. "And hot.." she whispered to herself. We drove all the way to my secret location. We were going to Harpers Ferry in West Virginia. I found the most beautiful place on top of a mountain to recreate our first date. I drove all the way there without stopping once. When we were far from Mystic Falls, I let her take off her blindfold so she could enjoy the landscape. I put my hand on her lap. I knew Josie loved when I do cliche stuff like that, she thinks it's romantic and I don't disagree. We sang together and laughed for the most part of our road trip. I wouldn't have wanted to be with anyone else than her in this car. The 4 hours trip passed so quickly with her. Just before we arrived, I told her to put her blindfold back on. When we arrived in the little town, it was approximately 5 pm and the sun already started to set. "Can I know where we are now?" Josie asked. "Not yet" I said.
I knew someone who lived in the city and he told me the setup for my date was ready. I grabbed Josie's hand and led her to the beginning of the hike. "Hold on to me" I told her. She wrapped her arms around my neck and I grabbed her waist with one of my hand. 5 jumps later, we were on the top of the mountain. The view was breathtaking. I looked around to see what my friend did for my date. He did the exact same thing I did for our first date. There were blankets on the ground with a ton of pillows. There was a truck parked near the picnic. In the back of the truck, there was a mattress with blankets and pillows as well. There were candles all around it and torches on the ground. I lit them all to make it more romantic. "Hope?" Josie asked. I was so captivated by everything that I forgot Josie. "I'm here" I laughed. I came near her and stood in front of her. I was going to kiss her cheek but she turned her head to make me kiss her lips. When I pulled back, I saw her smile. She's adorable. "Idiot" I joked. "Don't move" I said as I tried to take off her blindfold. I put my hand on her eyes so she couldn't see. "Are you ready?" I asked her. She nodded. I placed her in front of the sunset on the edge of the mountain. I slowly removed my hand and she opened her eyes. Her jaw dropped and her eyes widened open. She turned around to look at me and she jumped on me. We fell on the ground. I burst out laughing. She got up and helped me to do the same. "I hope you like it" I said. "Are you kidding me? It's so gorgeous out here" she started. She looked around to see the picnic and the truck. "And you recreated our first date!" she exclaimed jumping on me again. This time I was prepared and I didn't fall. "Are you hungry?" I asked her. "Yess.." she whined as she rubbed her stomach. I opened the picnic basket to see what we were going to eat. It was my favorite meal; spaghetti with alfredo sauce. There were green onions on top, cheese on the side, garlic bread and a bottle of champagne. The guy who prepared this did well. I met him 2 years ago when I saved his life during a car accident. I took all the food out of the basket and placed it in front of us. "It looks so good" Josie exclaimed. "Huh huh" I replied. I opened the bottle of champagne and poured some of it in our glasses. "I want to thank you for always being there for me. You had so many occasions and so many reasons to dump me but you didn't. You stayed by my side and for you I will forever be grateful. You're the only person who managed to bring light in the dark nothingness that was my life. Your smile put all the broken pieces of my heart back together and your warmth made it beat again. My heart beats for you. You're my best friend, my girlfriend, the love of my life.. I cannot wait for the day you'll become my wife" I said looking at her in the eyes. "I love you, Hope Mikaelson. I always loved you, since the first time that I saw you. You were so distant and mysterious. Right after we first talked, I went and asked my dad about you. The gorgeous lonely girl sat next to a tree. I don't know how but I knew you were special and I was right. You completely changed my life. All the simple things I used to do are never going to be the same. I can't wake up without you by my side. I can't brush my teeth without hugging you from behind when you expect it the least. I can't sleep if we're not cuddling. But most importantly, I can't imagine my life without you." my beautiful girlfriend replied. We raised our glasses above our head and drank. We ate our dinner reminiscing our first date. When we were done, I put everything back in the basket and put it in the car where another surprise was waiting for me: a tv and snacks. I started to settle the tv and after 30 minutes I finally succeeded. The sun was fully set and the only light we had was the light from all the candles and torches set around our spot. The sky was beautiful. The crescent moon and thousands of stars were illuminating the sky. "Ready to cuddle?" I asked Josie. "Always" she answered. "I have another surprise" I told her. I went to get the backpack I brought and it took out our pyjamas. "You're the best" she said. She took off her clothes to put it on. I couldn't help but looking at her perfect body. Her hands that I held so many times. Her laps that I put my hands on so many times. Her legs that I have to massage every day. Her stomach that I tickle everytime I have the chance. This woman is the woman of my dreams. Her cute little eyes that stares at mine when I wake up. Her cheeks that I love to caress. Her ears that I love to whisper cute things in it. And her lips that I love to kiss. I intend to be the last person to ever kiss them except our future child. "Come here" I laughed when I saw that she wasn't able to put her shirt on. She walked in my direction and stood up in front of me. "Raise your arms" I said and she did. I put her shirt on her. "Thanks" she said letting out a giggle. "It's not the first I do this" I laughed. Everytime she was too drunk, I helped her get dressed. "How would I survive without you?" she sad sarcastically. "I hope you'll never find out" I replied looking down at me feet. "Look at me" Josie said. She made me sit on the bed in the back of the truck. I spread my legs open and she stood up between them. "I never plan to find out" she said softly. "Wake up every morning with you in my bed, that's exactly what I planned to do" she added. I held my hands out for her to grab and she did. I pulled her in our bed for the night. I sat on it like I was sat on a couch and Josie sat beside me. I put my arm around her shoulders and she snuggled her head on my neck. I kissed the top of her head and played with her hairs. When our movie was over, we were both tired. We layed on the bed and looked at the stars. The night was beautiful. Her head was still laying on my chest. We both fell asleep pretty quickly.
