*Hope's pov*
Today was the big day. Me and Josie were so stressed. Two limousines came to pick us up. We kissed one last time as fiancés before we left. When we got to the place we were getting married. We got in different rooms where our loved one where waiting. Rebekah, Davina, Keelin and Freya welcomed me with champagne. Rebekah was going to be my braidsmaid, because when my parents died, she was the one who really took care of me and did everything for me. It was my way to thank her. My aunts helped me to get ready. They did my hair and arranged me. I rehearsed my vows and then, it was finally time.
Kol walked me down the alley. Everyone stood up and looked at us with big smiles on their face. We were walking arm in arm. When we arrived in front of the little chapel, he let me go and sat in the front seat section next to the rest of my family. Caroline was also sitting in the front section. The orchestra was playing a beautiful and majestic melody. Rebekah was standing behind me. On the other side, Lizzie was standing there waiting for Josie to arrive. I was really stressed but also so very happy.
I was taking long breath to calm myself like Josie thought me to. That's when I saw her. She was standing on the beginning of the alley with Alaric by her side. She was breathtaking. Her dress was beautiful and her smile illuminated the place. She started to walk in my direction. My eyes got teary and I had to wipe out my tears. It was tears of pure joy. She was so gorgeous. I had the biggest smile on my face. Alaric looked really stressed but also happy. When she arrived at the chapel, Alaric let her go and he sat next to her mom. She stood up in front of me and I started to cry again. "Don't cry" she whispered. "I'm just so happy" I said trying to stop. The celebrant gave me a tissue. After a minute, I finally stopped sobbing. The celebrant started the ceremony.
"It is with joy and happiness that we gather on this occasion to celebrate the union of Josie Saltzman and Hope Mikaelson in the holy bond of marriage. Who gives Josie to be married today?" The celebrant said.
"I am" Alaric said standing up."If any one can show just cause why they may not be lawfully joined together, let them speak now or forever hold their peace." The celebrant continued. Me and Josie looked around to see if anyone was going to say something. Fortunately, no one opposed to our wedding.
The celebrant continued the ceremony. "Hope, do you take Josie to be your wife and do you promise before God and these witnesses that you will be to her a true and devoted wife, true to her in sickness and in health, in joy and in sorrow, in prosperity and adversity; and forsaking all others, you will keep yourself to her, and to her only, in all love and honor, in all duty and service, in all faith and tenderness, to live with her and cherish her according to the ordinance of God, until you are parted by death?" He asked. "I do" I said looking at Josie in the eyes holding my tears back.
"Josie, do you take Hope to be your wife and do you promise before God and these witnesses that you will be to her a true and devoted wife, true to her in sickness and in health, in joy and in sorrow, in prosperity and adversity; and forsaking all others, you will keep yourself to her, and to her only, in all love and honor, in all duty and service, in all faith and tenderness, to live with her and cherish her according to the ordinance of God, until you are parted by death?" The celebrant asked. "I do" Josie said smiling at me.
"I think you decided to write your own vows. Hope, do you want to start?" He asked. "Yes" I said taking out the letter I wrote.
"Dear Josie, I believe that God placed you on my path. Maybe he realized how lost I was because He made you walk in my life, to help me find my way. The first time that I saw you, I felt like something inside of me cracked wide open. You laid down the armor I built during years with your smile. You made me live again. I love every little things about you. The way you curl your lips when you concentrate, how you smile when you blush, how you scratch your head when you're nervous or how you laugh when you embarrass yourself. I fell in love with you the moment we talked. When we were on the dock of the school, you talked to me with so much honesty and I understood how genuine you were. From this moment, I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you. Spending every day trying to be a better person for you. You inspire me to become the person I always wanted to be. You accepted me and believed in me when no one else would. You're my best friend. I know every moment we will spend together will be even more magical than the one before. I will carry you with me forever. I will trust you and respect you, laugh with you and cry with you, loving you faithfully through good times and bad, regardless of the obstacles we may face together. I give you my hand, my heart, and my love, from this day forward for as long as we both shall live" I said.
