Chapter 2

Sophie's POV 

I have been in the Glade for a month now I am a cook with Frypan and we always have a laugh doing it. Everyone says I make the glade brighter. I am really close with Newt, Frypan, Minho and Chuck. Me and Gally have inside jokes but we are not close. I have another job which we found out when Chuck was having a panic attack I could help quickly. I am not a med jack but I like helping people. I was very protective of Chuck he was like my little brother. I keep on having dreams about a boy my age and a girl my age and older woman. I don't know what its suppose to mean but I kind of deflect it.

I wake up early everyday to get breakfast started with Frypan.

" Fry Fry," I said jumping up and down, " I am not going to be a greenie anymore," 

He laughed," You won't,"

" Do you think it will be a girl," I said.

"  I am sorry soph but the chance of it being a girl is quite low," He said.

"Doesn't mean it can't be a girl," I said as I started to cut the fruit.

" We will bet on it then if it is a boy you give me your strawberry's today and if its a girl i will give you my mango," He said and I smiled.

" Its on," I said. A alarm went of and my eyes widened.

" I know that sound," I said. 

" Of course you do its the box," Newt walked in and said I grinned and took off in a sprint.

All of the boys were lined up to see if it was an another female or just a male. I was so excited.

When the box finally made its way up. I stood next to Frypan and Newt.

Oh my shucking god its the boy in my dreams. I didn't care about the bet that me and Fry made. some of the boys started to laugh at him and I felt bad for him. I felt a familiar connection to this boy.

" Go get him," Someone told Gally and he hopped in the box and yanked him out. When he landed on the ground I felt sorry for him. Alby even laughed when the boy was struggling to get up from the grass. I was the only one feeling bad for him.

" I could use some help in the kitchen," Frypan said and I hit him on the back of his head.

The Greenbean still struggled to get up and when he finally did he broke through the boys and made a dash for the maze.

" Shouldn't we go after him," I said and newt shook his head.

"He won't get that far," He said.

" Hey we have a runner," Zart said. allk the boys were laughing at him when he fell on the grass.

" Fuck this shit," I said and I sprinted past the boys to make sure he was okay.

" Soph-Sophie!" Newt shouted. The greenie stood up and took a breath.I started to walk closer to him and I touched his shoulders which made him jump.  I stepped back and he looked at me and he frowned. I smiled at him.

" Are you ok," I said and smiled.

" I know you," He said which made my hands shake.

" Wha-what?" I said he knew about my dreams that I have been having.

" I don't know how I do I just feel like I know you," He said and I was confused Newt stopped the boys running after him to let them listen to their conversation.

" Oh my god," I said and I looked in his beautiful brown eyes.

" Sophie," He breathed out and my eyes widened, " I can't remember anything else I just know you," 

Something moved in me which made me feel the piece in my heart was filled again.

Suddenly Gally had enough walked past me and grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and threw the boy down at Alby's feet. I got in the middle of them and took the greenie away from Gally.

" Sophie," Newt shouted grabbing my arm.

" Newt-don't," I said.

" How do you know Sophie," Newt said and the boy shook his head.I held him back from Gally keeping him safe and away from him. The boy put his hand on my shoulder.

" How do you know," Gally shouted.

" I don't know, why can't I remember anything," Greenie said.

" Newt take the newbie to the slammer," Alby sighed," And Sophie stay away from him."

" You know I can't do that," I said with my arms crossed.

" Well you are going to have to for now until we figure out how he remembers you," Alby said, " Go and set up for tonight," 

I started to brush my shoulders past through the crowd of boys and they all looked at me I looked back at the greenie who's eyes softened when he looked at me. I walked into the kitchen and I slammed the door and everyone knew I was pissed.

" She is so awesome" Chuck said and laughed.

" Yeah your lucky we didn't get another girl to get pissed," Winston said and put his hand on chucks shoulder.

" I heard you Winston don't test me today," I shouted at him.

" Frypan go make sure she doesn't started throwing things like last time," Alby said.
