I woke up with a gasp and I shot up in bed. I Breathed heavily before noticing that I was wearing a dark blue long sleeve and grey jeans. I swung my legs over side and I winced. I pulled up my ro[ noticing that my bullet wound was covered.
I let out a shaky breath and I saw the Thomas' grey jacket was on the chair next to me. I put my boots on and I walked outside and my eyes widened.
There was a beach in front of me the waves crashing against the rocks as ships were in the ocean. Chattering caught my attention and noticed that there were huts getting built and people having fun. I let out a chuckle and began walking.
As I walked through the place I let out a smile realising where I was. The Safe Haven. Where my mom and dad wanted me to be. Suddenly a familiar face walked up to me causing me to stop.
Thomas stared at me before frowning telling me Newt was really gone. I nodded and he noticed I had tears in my eyes and he gave me a hug.
I looked behind Thomas and saw Gally, Frypan, Teresa, Brenda, Aris, Minho, and Jorge. Tears fell down my cheeks as I cried into Thomas' chest thinking about Newt.
" I thought I had lost you again," Thomas said,
" You haven't I am still here," I said.
I pulled out of the hug and looked at Minho and he gave me a tight hug.

It was at night and everyone was in a group meeting where Vincent was speaking to us. I sat in between Thomas and Minho who had his arm around my waist.
" We have come along way together so many of have sacrificed so much to make this place possible your friends and your family so here's to the ones who couldn't be here here's to the friends we lost this place us for you its for all of us,"Vincent then points to a rock," But this is for them so in your own time in your own way come make your peace and welcome to the safe have,"
Everyone cheered as we all clapped and I leaned against Thomas' shoulder. Me and Thomas sat next to each other as everyone was having fun around the camp fire.
Thomas rubbed his hand on my arm. " This will be a good home for us."
" Yeah," I saidd.
Thomas then pulled out a necklace from his pocket," You had this on you while you were passed out figured I'd keep it safe for you,"
I grabbed the necklace and it was Newts necklace.
" Thanks Tom," I said.
I started to play with the necklace and the top came off and there were pieces of paper in them.It was a letter from Newt. I breathed heavily.
" Its gonna be okay," Thomas said.
" This has your name on it," I said and passed him his letter.
'Dear Sophie this is the first letter I can remember writing. Obviously I don't know if I wrote any before the maze. But even if it is not my first it is likely to be my last, I want you to know I am not scared, Well not of dying anyway. Its more forgetting. Its losing myself to this virus and leaving you alone. So every night I have been saying their names out loud. Alby Winston Chuck. And I repeat them over and over like a prayer and it all come flooding back just the little things the way the sun used to hit the glade at that perfect moment right before it slipped beneath the walls. And I remember the taste of Frypan's stew," I chuckled." And I remember you, our first girl in the glade just as scared as all of us but you out on a tough front to make yourself known. You were not afraid to punch someone but you were the kindest person in that Glade, I truly missed that and when we all thought you were dead it felt like a piece of me was missing. If I could do it all again I would and I wouldn't change a thing. And my hope for you is that when you are looking back years from now you will be able to say the same. The future is in your hands now Sophie and I know you will find a way to do what is right. you always have. Take care of everyone for me and take care of yourself and take care of Tommy I am happy he is with you. You deserve to be happy, Thank you for being the sister I have never had. I wiped my tears and glanced at Thomas and pulled him into a hug.

In the morning I noticed Thomas wasn't by my side I got up and noticed he carved the name Newt into the rock.
I walked along the beach and walked up to Thomas and huged him from behind,
"I love you so much you know that," I said and he turned around.
" I love you too," He said and he kissed me and lifted me up into his arms.
