Max and Duke had only just watched Guillermo shut the front door when a familiar white rabbit jumped up out of nowhere and cried, "What's up my dogs?!"
"Snowball! What are you doing in here?!" Max demanded. Behind his back, Duke was trying to recover from the heart attack the rabbit had almost given him. Taking a deep breath, the giant mutt asked, "More importantly, how did you even get in here? The door was locked."
"Your window was open. And I've been waiting in here for several minutes," Snowball answered. Shaking himself, he thumped his foot rapidly on the floor in untold happiness as he exclaimed, "Pops is throwing a huge party at his apartment today. Everyone else is over there except for you two and whoever else was on the dog walk."
"Mel, Buddy and Pepe," Duke pointed out.
"Anyways," Snowball continued without losing a beat, "You guys coming?" He clapped his paws together excitedly as he looked at the two brothers with a wide smile on his face.
