Padding down the sidewalk while keeping an eye out for animal control, Duke sighed softly as he silently questioned himself if he was doing the right thing. "Maybe I should tell Max..." he murmured, half tempted to turn around. Shaking himself, he quickly muttered, "No, I can tell him later when the time is right!" With that on his conscious, Duke continued down the street...
"Hope Buddy and Sweetpea don't find out about this. Or Chloe. That would be humiliating for me," Mel talked to himself as he walked along the sidewalk, swerving around the people. Every once in a while, he would glance up at the signs as he passed them. Though he couldn't read, he could recognize pictures. The writing he had seen yesterday was seared into his memory as he searched. At last, Mel found what he was looking for...
Limping slightly, Tiberius kept an eye on his target. The squirrel continued eating the acorn, oblivious to what was behind it. Stopping, the old hawk stood still for a few seconds before suddenly lunging forward with open talons. Screaming, the squirrel ran for its life, dropping the acorn. Tiberius would've chased after it if the pain in his left flank didn't hamper him. He sadly watched the squirrel get away before limping back the way he came...
"I can't believe we're actually going to do this!" Leonard exclaimed as he sat beside a trash can. Things were thrown out of it as Ozone's voice echoed inside, "I know, right? Everyone would be very surprised if they knew I was doing this!" Nodding his head while smiling, the poodle commented, "Same here with me. But hey! This is for a cause!" Popping out of the trash can with a bag in his grasp, Ozone shook himself before meowing, "Then what are we waiting for? Let's do this!" The two animals smiled at each other before heading off to their next destination...
