Y/n needed a break. A break from all this studying and pretending to be the perfect little princess she's suppose to be. It was hard enough getting good grades on the stuff she didn't understand, and almost impossible for her to have fucken straight A's in her class. And now the teachers want her to tutor others? TUTOR OTHERS!? Why? Half the time, she doesn't understand it. And honestly, it doesn't help when Mal is the one that needs help, because God, she's so beautiful and she's like, a fucken goddess, and she can't help her, because all she does is stare like a fucken pervert!
So, Y/n needed a break. She grabbed a book and a small blanket, and went to find her spot, on top of the waterfall. But, someone, or mother earth must hate her, because she accidentally bumps into Mal with a 'oof'.
"Crap! I'm so sorry! Are you okay? It's totally my fault, I should've looked to see if anyone was here, but I just got caught up and I just wanna read and relax-" she looks up, and blushes, before grabbing her book from the floor and taking off. Mal stands there, stunned and kinda hurt. She wanted to follow her, but also didn't want to scare her off, so she went back to her bedroom, and talked with Evie about it.
When Y/n got to the top of the waterfall, she took her shoes off and set them in the cool water as she sat on the blanket. She opened her book and let the words carry her off to fantasy land.
She was too deep into the boom to realize that night was coming fast and that it was getting cooler out. Only noticing when Ben came to get her before she missed dinner.
She walked into the cafeteria with a blush as everyone stared at her, and made her way to her parent's who kissed her cheek. She left her blanket and book there, and quickly went to get her tray, which was already waiting for her.
"Y/n!" Evie waved her hand, and the princess smiled and walked over to her friends, sitting by the blue haired princess. "Story got to you this time?" She asked with a chuckle, Y/n blushing was enough of an answer for her.
"You and those book baby sis." Ben shook his head with a smile, the same smile lighting up Y/n's face.
"Yes, those books are good. I'm able to get away with the words and they make me feel like I'm part of the story at times. Maybe if you read more than shoving your tongue down Mal's throat, you would be able to finish a book or two." She closed her eyes and sighed when she realized what she said, immediately getting up and jogging out of the now quiet cafeteria.
The friends looked at each other, Evie getting up and dragging Mal with her. "I thought she knew Ben and I split up..." Mal says softly as they both head to Y/n's dorm room. Evie sighed and hummed.
"I mean, it was just recent right? Like two weeks ago? Maybe Ben didn't want to say anything yet, to fresh for it." Mal just hummed and sighed, Evie taking her hand and gently squeezing it.
Evie was the one to knock on Y/n's door. The door quickly swung open, making both girl's jump, but before anything could happen, Evie pushed Mal inside and closed the door, holding it closed as both Mal and Y/n tried to open it. For a short girl, she had a string grip.
"You two need to hash out your feelings! You can kill me after! But I would still also like a thank you after! Just tell each other the truth."
The two girl's looked at each other with a frown, Y/n sighing and walking over to lay on her bed.
"Ben and I split up two weeks ago." Y/n looked up and watched as Mal sat on her desk, looking through her pictures that Y/n took from the game.
"I'm sorry for what I said. I don't even know why I was mad, it's like, everything was building up inside and I snapped." Mal laughed and shook her head, walking over and sitting next to Y/n.
"You didn't snap. You just were angry. Or mad. But for what, and why, I have no idea. Maybe we can help each other out though?" Y/n raised her eyebrow, wondering what she had to offer. "Okay, truth is, I like you, liked you since we got here but I couldn't tell anyone I was gay. I did what I thought was right, dating Ben, and I thought my feeling would go away, but they didn't. Then, I also caught feeling for Ben as well and it was a whole new level of fucked up. So, I sat down and talked to your mom. She's like the second closest thing to a mom and I just needed help. And then I bugged Evie-"
"And it was annoying hearing her whine over you!!" Evie yelled through the door, which Mal glared at, but Y/n let out a giggle.
"I like you too. Your eyes were the first thing I noticed about you, and I just started to fall harder and harder. And then I started go advoid you, which I'm sorry for, but you're so beautiful and.. you make me scared, but a good scared."
"Wanna go on a date?" Mal asks with a smirk that caused Y/n to blush, a nod answering her question.
"Did she say yes?! Can I let go now?!" Y/n laughed as Mal walked over to the door, yanking it open and staring at her wide eyed friend.
"Run.." Evie took off and Mal turned around to wink at her before running off after her friend, not worrying about the two because they wouldn't hurt each other. She smiled widely, needing to thank Evie later and asking if she can make her a dress for her date.
