Imperfect

Chapter 3

Thinking back I do remember putting myself up for this; Jenifer, Eliza, Maria and I had signed up for it a while back. When the thought of it actually happening and any of us being chosen was slim.

But here I am, I guess. The only one of us chosen.

Then again, I'll be able to help someone, or maybe just have someone to chat to when I'm doing homework, so it could be good. I can give it a try at least.

When I've gotten onto the website and the person who I'll be corresponding with, I have absolutely no idea about what I should do. The person next to me is playing that dinosaur game that comes up when there's no internet connection, so that's not helpful.

I turn round, but no one else's really doing anything, so I try sending a message:

Chocolate!-Hello?

I'm beginning to regret the user name, the teacher told us to use something that didn't give off any personal information. But it now seems like a mistake.

I'm killing myself, worrying about it. I'm not sure if I wish someone will reply or not-like to see if they'll reply or just ignore me completely.

IWANNAGETBETTER-Hello?

I'm almost jumping out of my seat as I type a reply. Why do I feel so strange today?

Chocolate!-How are you?

IWANNAGETBETTER-As good as I can be. Are you being forced into this as well?

Chocolate!-No, I think I volunteered a while ago but I have forgotten about it hence forth. Why who's making you do this?

IWANNAGETBETTER-Well, it's originally my teachers, then my Mom and Dad, then my psychiatrist, so now I'm talking to you.

Chocolate!-Well I'll tell you know that you're more interesting than the other people in this class, all they're doing is talking and playing the dinosaur, no internet game.

IWANNAGETBETTER-Well, at least you're in a classroom with other people, I'm all on my own with one teacher, who shall remain nameless.

Chocolate!-I seriously don't even know what my teacher's name is. Also what's with your user?

I type and click send too quick. My mind is on names, why, why, why me?

IWANNAGETBETTER-It's got two meanings: my goal in life and a song I love.

Chocolate!-Oh. That's cool.

IWANNAGETBETTER-Can I guess from your username that you have a bit of a sweet tooth?

Chocolate!-Definitely! I can eat every type of chocolate there is, and I'm not exactly picky when it comes to non-chocolate sweets either.

IWANNNAGETBETTER-I can't stand some brands of chocolate, but Ice cream is definitely my favourite food.

Chocolate!-REALLY? What's your favourite? Mines definitely cookies and cream, or any type of Oreo ice cream. Then you have it with waffles! Can you get any better? Also, the correct answer is NO!

IWANNAGETBETTER-My favourite has to be toffee crunch. I'm sorry. Also, what about pancakes and pop tarts?

Chocolate!-Mu Mum doesn't let me have pop tarts, she says they're too unhealthy. However good choice, toffee crunch is acceptable, and yes I agree with the pancake thing. I'm actually getting hungry just talking about food. Why can't we eat? That's the least they could let us do.
